Happy new year! Almost 750 new images today, and almost 250 new experiences! Wow! And, xxxJihad has been launched. Also -- you may notice that parts of BME aren't working quite like they should (for example, the voting system, and parts of the upcoming events). Anyway, that's because we're totally rebuilding BME, so a few of the old parts are not being maintained. Over the next two months you'll see a totally new look. | |

Some nice stuff in this update -- the return of BME/people as well, thanks to a great interview by Bryan Henderson of Modified Mind about TREPANATION! Also, some super pictures, and last night I interviewed Tim Cridland, the Torture King, so I'll get that online in the next few days (probably around noon on Thursday). Lots of experiences tomorrow -- I have about 300 in the queue right now. | |

Another nice big update -- I added over 700 new images today. Also, we added a few new items at BMEshop, including starting to add jewerly. Anyway, I am going to be out of town helping a friend sell his house, probably until this Monday coming up -- which means that I won't be able to answer ANY email or IMs until then. In addition, no updates till then, but as soon as I get back there will be another massive update with both experiences and images. Oh, and I totally forgot -- if you didn't already know, I posted an interview with Tim Cridland (the Torture King) on BMEradio! Have fun, see you when I get back. | |

Important new membership policy: As you know, tattoo photos don't get you a BME membership
when you add them to the galleries here. However, they do get you access to
the IAM site (FULL access to the IAM site). Mainstream piercing photos such
as tongue piercings, navel piercings, etc. have now been moved into that
category as well. That is, you won't get a BME membership, but you will get
the authorization code you need to create an IAM.BMEZINE.COM account and
access the entirity of that site.

As those of you who hang out on the IAM site know, a couple people (and one in particular) have been making insane threats to destroy the IAM site (and BME). This is the same person that would be nice to girls in the chat room, and then when they'd talk on the phone, he'd threaten to hunt them down and kill them... Anyway, I have his home address, real name, etc. and if anything happens, guess what's being made public, and I'll trust BME's readers to deal with him as they see fit! Well... I added about 450 images today, so... Enjoy! | |

The IAM site is growing exponentially. It now has over 4,000 members, and is
taking up about 6 GIG of space. I've just added another 20 GB drive to the
machine. Work is continuing on the BME database software, so within a month
you can expect a massively renovated BME.

Have you seen the BME/Links engine yet? We're totally rebuilding it into a much more robust form with all sorts of new features. Now, as far as we're concerned, you should never leave BME, but... I suppose if you must, we'll help you find some other good sites! | |

First off, we've had our first winner in the piercing pioneers contest! It's Shane Munce's Surface Tongue Piercing. Secondly, I've decided to massively cut back in my online time to pursuse other interests (and get my life in order). I want all of you to realize a very important fact: I only provided a medium -- I didn't create all of this. All of the credit for the content must go to the community that created it. I just happen to be good at building nice places, it's you that maintain the spirit. | |

To be honest, I don't really know what to write here about this.
Yesterday, IAM member (and friend) Mike
Arcuri killed himself and posted his suicide note on IAM. I know
there's nothing I can say to make it better... short of trying to find
a suitable quote from The Breakfast Club. But folks, I will say that
we all feel like this sometimes, and a lot of the time it feels like
it will never end... I must emphasize though, we ALL feel that way.
Draw strength in that -- IAM isn't here only to show off your mods.
It's here to let you know that you're not just with friends, you're
with family. Godspeed, Mike.

I've finally rebuilt the personals! Click on the personals link on the main cover of BME to ad yourself. It uses the location engine that I wrote for the IAM personals, but is as quick and easy to use as the old one that everyone seemed to like so much. Oh, and I will be away from the 3rd to the 8th of April (in Amsterdam!) so there won't be any updates during that time period. | |

Well, the personals are continuing to develop -- I'm adding new features all the time. If you haven't already, check them out. I think they're wonderfully easy to use. So far around 350 people have added themselves, with more every hour. It's free of course, but if you enjoy it, please contribute to BME in return. Well, as you know, BME is having some financial problems due to a seizure of credit card transactions by a processing bank. You can read more about the details on my IAM page. Well, I'm back from Amsterdam -- had a great time, and didn't spend one minute thinking about work! I've just uploaded about 175 new experiences to BME, and will upload a thousand or two photos in the next few days as well. We still don't have the solution to the credit card problems, but hope to have it sorted out within a week or so. Oh, and if you want to see some pictures from my trip, just visit my IAM page. | |

As promised, a nice huge update -- around 1000 (yes, one THOUSAND) new images have been added today. Also, the credit card problem is starting to look like there's a solution in range. I know that lots of you want to get set up again, and I know it sure would be nice for BME to start paying its own bills again (instead of them all coming out of my pocket). Another week, another 1000 images. The nice thing about these big updates is that there's always really cool stuff. Some wild piercings and really neat surgical mods if you have extreme access, and some more dremel scarification as well! Don't try that unless you really know what you're doing. Finally, we have our BILLING BACK UP! There are still some glitches to work out, but if you want to sign up, we'd love to have you back. | |

Just a small (by BME standards -- only about 400 new images) image update today -- I was clearing out some old emails I'd missed. Some cool stuff still though: Be sure to check out the series of female saline injection pix I posted, as well as the ABSOLUTELY WILD series in the genital implants section. Also, check out the new EREBLI photos -- they're stills from the EREBLI DVD which we hope to have completed by the end of the summer. First of all, don't freak out over the photo on the cover until you know what it's about... BMEshop now has copies of The Gentle Swastika in stock. I can not highly recommend this book enough -- it's VERY important that you check it out. While I'm talking about BMEshop, I should mention that we now have circular barbells in stock as well. Finally... Just a little update today. I'm going to be out of town and totally away from computers until probably next Wednesday or Tuesday. Nothing until then, but expect a large update when I return. | |

It's not a bad sized update (about 800 new images) -- although I think this is a record day for "failed" images... That is blurry, small, etc -- at least 75% of the images I got I had to reject (sorry!). I also added about 165 new experiences today, bringing our total upload size to about 40 meg. Not fun when your stupid cable modem keeps failing. Finally, ModCon is only a month away now -- there are still some spaces left, so if you're HEAVILY MODDED and would like to come, please contact me ASAP. | |

First of all, a number of people have emailed me angry that I haven't been
updating BME as often due to travelling and other projects. I realize that
I'm not updating every couple of days, but I'm still updating weekly, and
when I update half as often, it means the updates are twice as big... Even
today I added over 500 new images, and this is one of the smaller updates
lately. So it's not as if you're missing out on anything, so don't get mad at me!
Also, there will be some minor changes coming up soon on the structure of the site. As you know, the piercing section is restricted after the first few pages to contributors only. This policy will be expanded out to some of the other sections, like ritual that are expanding rapidly. HOWEVER, I will be giving out longer memberships for submissions in return, as well as stopping the IAM-only memberships. That is, experiences will again get full credit. Anyway, enjoy the update, and I look forward to seeing many of you at the July 1st BBQ in Toronto. | |

OK, I know I haven't done much updating lately, what with ModCon and related time-consumption. To absolve me of that sin, I've added amost 1500 new images today, in nearly every section. Oh, and if anyone would like to be an investor in the new ModCon book, I'm looking to raise about $30,000 to print 10,000 copies, so if you would like to INVEST (that is, because a part owner in a publishing company), and have a minimum of about $5k, let me know. | |

Oh, and to you people who've been sending me complaints that I don't update enough anymore... I add more pictures per month now than I ever have. Tiny update today -- just 150 images -- but I wanted to keep it small to really focus on a few very cool images. In the public galleries, this includes an x-ray of a 0000ga tongue bar, a horizontal tongue piercing, and some vertical lowbrets. In the members section, this includes female and male saline and pumping combined with some erotic couples shots including these mods. It also includes a urethral reroute style piercing being used to turn a penis into a butane-powered flamethrower (!!!). | |

Not really an update -- but I have uploaded forty pictures to the BBQ gallery from last night's party. At it we raised $4000 in donations to support the iwascured suspension group and the Canadian incorporation of the Church of Body Modification. I know this update doesn't make anything better, but I hope it at least provides some momentary relief. I've done my best to make it a good one (over 1000 new images) -- I haven't been able to sleep, so I tried to put my insomnia to use. Since all this horror has cancelled my trip, you can expect at least two more big updates by week's end. There are interesting things all over the site, and two new bonus galleries in BME/HARD as well. My thoughts and condolences go out to EVERYONE who was hurt by this, and I want to publicly recognize the firefighters and police who died as heroes doing everything they could to save their public. I'm saddened to say that a number of people, including some people who have been friends of mine and friends of the BME community for more than five years have decided to delete themselves from the site because of what happened yesterday. This was due to intense political disagreement with things written on my homepage. While I stand behind those statements 100%, I'm very sorry that they brought pain -- they were not intended to. Even though we parted on rough terms, I want to publicly thank them, especially SmoothTom, for the help over the past years, both to me, and to the community as a whole. Let me finish up by thanking all the IAM and BME members who have been going out and giving blood and doing everything they can to help. I know that a number of you lost family and friends... I wish there was more I could do than just say I'm sorry. I hope a resolution with a minimum of further bloodshed is found soon.

Sorry there weren't more updates this week... In all the trauma, things got a bit crazy here. Under the emotional stress, some people are striking out at anything they perceive as anti-American, and, unfortunately that includes a heavily modified Canadian with rather leftist and anti-government politics. So, instead of working on the site, I spent some of the week debating just how seriously I needed to take the death threats. I don't mind getting hatemail every once in a while, but death threats aren't really that fun. Anyway, I'm still getting caught up with all the image emails, but today I've added about 500 new images for you. Lots more to come soon! | |
