Ever since I first saw pictures of triangle piercings, I knew I wanted one. It just looked so neat and pretty, and the supposed benefits with added sensation were very appealing. However actually going through with it scared me as this is one piercing that can go very wrong indeed if done incorrectly.

A few years ago I got a VCH, almost as a test of whether I could handle getting a genital piercing. The piercing was a lot easier than I expected, apart from a few issues while healing it due to my own idiocy (documented here if anyone would like more information), and I stretched it up to 4mm. Unfortunately it ended up self-stretching due to heavy jewelry and I sadly ended up retiring it. It didn't feel 'right' to not have any jewelry in my genitalia, so I began to research the triangle in more depth. I knew a few girls who had this piercing and they all reported it as something very positive and enjoyable, and I read as many experiences on BME as I could find. I even went as far as to get checked out as to whether I could have it by a couple of friends who are piercers. I was told my anatomy was suited, but I was still too scared to actually go through with it, for the moment.

Then, in early February I had a week off work and fancied a day out. Tiff has been a friend of mine for a few years, but with me living in London and her in Sheffield, it was difficult to get to see one another, but then she moved to Brighton to pierce at Magnum Opus. I decided then that while I was off work I would take a day trip to Brighton, meet up with Tiff, visit the studio, and get my triangle while I was there.

Tiff told me she had never done a triangle before, but I've always been impressed with her work and professionalism, and I trusted her to research it properly. She told me she felt confident that she could do it, and the fact that a woman would be doing the piercing made me feel much more confident. It's nice to know the person doing such a complicated and dangerous piercing has the same equipment as you.

I arrived in Brighton and promptly forgot where the studio was, due to leaving my map at home, but I am a firm believer that you can't be truly lost if you don't have a clue where you are so after some wandering I found it. I was very impressed with the studio, lovely and spacious and very clean. After a little small talk and signing the appropriate forms it was time to drop my trousers, and frankly, I was shitting bricks.

Marking up took a long time. There is a large vein running down one side of my clitoris, and avoiding this, while making sure my clitoral shaft was held safely out of the way, was very fiddly. After a while of poking around I wasn't sure myself whether the placement of the recieving tube was correct, so to check I gloved up and had a go at locating my clitoral shaft myself. This done, I lay back and braced myself for what I was sure would be excruciating pain and...

...it certainly hurt like hell. White hot, burning pain, but as soon as the needle was through, the pain stopped. Jewelry inserted, I made a makeshift pad out of kitchen roll and put my underwear and jeans back on. As I got up from the bench I noticed two things. First, that the paper on the bench had stuck to my bum crack as I had sweated quite a lot. I don't tend to sweat much as a rule, so I think this shows how terrified I was. Second, that the movement from sitting to standing produced an intense, but enjoyable twinge in my clitoris. I was liking this piercing already.

I paid and thanked Tiff profusely, then went for a wander down to the sea front and to get some food. Walking was no problem, I felt a bit sore but it was certainly nothing unbearable. Later on I headed back to Magnum Opus and Tiff and I went to the pub for some beers and a chat. While in the pub I went to the toilet and was glad I'd put all that kitchen roll in my knickers as I was bleeding. Not loads, but enough to require a pad of some kind. The train ride home was a little interesting too due to the vibration. I was very aware of my clitoris for the first time while not having some kind of sexual contact or thinking about sex, and it was somewhat distracting. I slept with a pillow between my knees for the first few nights so not to put any pressure on the piercing. I was glad I had a few more days off work as it was swollen and tender and I think large amounts of walking could have been somewhat annoying.

I used sea salt in warm water to soak the piercing twice a day for the first few weeks I had it, and also soaked it after sex. Now, more on the benefits of this piercing. As the stimulation I felt directly after being pierced showed, this has had a real effect on my sensitivity. I was aware of the jewelry being there and moving around for the first week, almost all the time. I also had a lot more vivid sex dreams than usual, although this was probably also a side-effect of being banned from sex until it healed. Two weeks after the piercing I could not wait any longer and had (very gentle and careful) sex with my other half. And it was... astonishing. I could feel my clitoris being stimulated from the back, a very unusual sensation, and not easy to describe, but certainly enjoyable. I burst out laughing at one point, I'm glad my partner is not insecure or easily offended as that could be easily taken the wrong way, but it was delighted and surprised laughter.

Over the next couple of months I noticed I became a little more accustomed to the new sensations the piercing pr
