I first thought about getting a triangle done last September, but I'd just had my lower back tattoo done and figured I couldn't heal a deep piercing well at the same time. I read up about it, reading stories on here and general searches on the internet. I knew that not every woman has got the anatomy for a triangle and I wasn't sure if I did either. I decided to go and see Carl and Shirley at The Piercing Bodz to check if I had the anatomy to do it. Carl checked and said it was doable – tricky but doable! I have waited for the right time to do it and finally took advantage of a child-free Saturday to make the trip over to Chester to The Piercing Bodz new shop. I phoned and booked an appointment a couple of days before.

The greeting I had from Carl was fantastic – hugged me like an old friend coming to visit. I suppose I am though – Carl has done 4 piercings for me before (VCH, which was the first one, tongue, nipple and eyebrow) – this was going to be piercing number 5 by Carl. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do a piercing for me – especially a triangle!!

The shop was busy when I got there – lovely to see! There was a someone who was due to be after me getting a nose piercing and she was quite nervous – Carl said that mine would take 15-20 minutes and suggested she went to have a cup of tea (she was early). I didn't see the point in making her wait so suggested she went before me. Her piercing was done and the shop cleared – leaving us time to have a chat and a catch up and set everything up in a more leisurely fashion. Carl showed me around the new studio while Shirley helped out a couple of customers – the work that they've done in the shop is fabulous – it's spotless, as I would expect, well thought out and looks great. The location is really good in a lovely part of Chester – the back of the studio is part of the City Walls with fantastic views over Chester.

I didn't feel particularly nervous about having the piercing done – I knew that I was seeing the best! I went into the piercing room and got my lower half undressed. Shirley prepped me for the piercing with a liquid anaesthetic, and Carl came in. He explained that it was a bit undignified having this one done because I had to be right at the end of the bed on my back. Completely unfazed by this, I got into position! When I had my VCH done, my legs jerked and clamped shut, so I was expecting it from this one too. Carl warned me that there could be a bit of fiddling around while he got the clamps into the right place, but it didn't take long. Carl got the clamps on, which is just like being held gently, told me to take a deep breath in and blow out – on the out breath, he did the piercing – easy peasy!! My legs jerked slightly, but nothing like when I had my VCH done. Carl put the jewellery in and we were done. There was a bit of bleeding – to be expected – and that was stopped quite quickly. Once the bleeding was stopped, I got the chance to have a look in a mirror – wow! It looked good and I was really pleased. It goes so well with my VCH. Carl said that once it was healed, a close fitting ring in it would be really good – I like that idea! Shirley gave me a pad and I got my lower half dressed again.

I'd got the Park & Ride into Chester (and yes, I did sit on the back seat of the bus on the way back!), and I had to go shopping for shoes too. I had a nice wander around the shops in Chester, happy with my new piercing and little secret! I didn't feel uncomfortable with the new piercing – despite wearing jeans (loose-ish ones). When I sat down to try on the shoes I bought – that was a little uncomfortable and I kind of remembered then that I'd had it done!

It felt fine, feels a tad tender now – I only had it done yesterday after all! I do have to keep remembering that it is there, because if I sit down wrong, or too quickly, I know about it! Getting in and out of the car has to be done carefully and crossing my legs isn't the most comfortable thing in the world either – good job I don't consider myself a lady then! It looks fantastic! I'm so pleased I had it done and it felt like an easy piercing – at least, it did to me! I feel rather lucky to be able to have it done. I would say to anyone who wants any piercing done in this area, there really is only the one place to go – and that's The Piercing Bodz in Chester – it's so easy to find, well worth the trip!
