A little over two years ago, I had been surfing the web for information on body piercing and found the Rings of Desire web site. I found it to contain a wealth of information as well as a photo gallery of piercings. I went to the gallery for the female genital piercing and it was love at first sight with the triangle... the seed was planted.

Living in Wisconsin, I was not sure I wanted to travel all the way to Louisiana to be evaluated to see if I was a candidate for the triangle piercing. I had some questions and so e-mailed to Rings of Desire. I was more than impressed when Angel herself answered my e-mail. She more than understood my questions and fears and offered that she could do an internet consultation to see if I could be considered for my piercing. I had my boyfriend help me take the photos she required, but I didn't follow through with it. About a month ago, I started e-mailing Angel again with a million questions and she again offered to do the internet evaluation. I took a new set of pictures and sent them off to her. By the end of the day she had e-mailed me back that I was 'apparently' a good candidate but that she wouldn't be able to tell for sure without examining the area. I was ecstatic and started making the arrangements; I had vacation coming up so set up an appointment with Angel. My travel plans changed twice in the three week span and Angel was always very sweet and accommodating in adjusting my appointment. She never made me feel like I was bothering her.
Finally the three weeks passed and it was time for my vacation! I left Wisconsin on Friday night and drove for 18 hours. I phoned Rings of Desire when I arrived in the French Quarter and informed them that I was there but trying to find a place to park (if you've ever been to the French Quarter, you know what a nightmare that is), and Rob said not to worry, if I needed to they could push back my appointment. I finally managed to find a public parking area about 10 blocks away and made the walk back to where Rings of Desire is located. During the walk my nerves really started to act up and I was having second thoughts about doing this, but I told myself 'you just drove over a thousand miles you can't back down now'. I finally made it back and headed up the stairs to her studio. There were already people waiting so I started to pick out jewelry since Angel was going to do not only a triangle for me, but also both of my nipples. Brian, another Master piercer at Rings of Desire discussed the pros and cons of getting pierced with rings and barbells and we decided that the jewelry choice would be Angel's, once she did the exam. I sat down and waited my turn. Finally Angel announced she was ready for me.
Angel was even more sweet in person than she had been in her emails. She talked to me and helped ease my fears as I undressed and hoped up on the table. She started out by thoroughly cleaning the area and pulling and feeling for the nerve bundle and lifting it to make sure there was enough room. She announced I was built perfectly for the triangle and any other genital piercings I would want in the future. I was on cloud 9 as we talked about her piercings and the horror stories of people who did not thoroughly research their piercer and had bad experiences while she made her markings, checked them, erased and re-checked them. After she was finally pleased with them she said she had to let them dry so she started cleaning and marking my nipples. Once they were marked she re-checked again the dry dots and said they looked great. She then began pulling on the hood to get it to thin out so that she was sure she was only piercing the hood tissue. She put the clamp on and I didn't even feel it. She said to breathe in and out and OUCH it was over and done with. Another intense pressure and the jewelry was in. It was more of an intense burning feeling than anything else and when she placed the cool cloth on the piercing it instantly felt great. It was bleeding slightly so Angel gave me a panty liner and went over the customary cleaning and after care procedures. I thanked her a dozen times over for being so quick and reassuring. I have already decided that when healed, I will be going back for a VCH.
It has been two days now since my wonderful triangle. It is still swollen and tender and bleeds occasionally, but I am so glad that I made the decision to travel the distance and get pierced by such a wonderful not only piercer, but wonderful human being as well. It is definitely worth the time and expense to get pierced at Rings of Desire.
