This is the story of my triangle piercing but before I get to the story I'll just give you a little background info. I'm a 34 year old mother of two, happily married. I was never into piercings until about a year ago when I got my navel pierced. I had just gone back to work after my maternity leave with my second child, I was a little down in the dumps and I wanted to do something for myself. I had lost all my pregnancy weight and I had a nice little body, a navel piercing was something I had always liked on others, so I thought why not me? I'm not that old, so I did it & in the process I created a monster because of course no less that a week after the navel piercing I just had to have another, so a few months later came a CBR snug, which is also great! Piercings really are addictive; I never thought I would say that!

I wasn't sure between a horizontal hood or a triangle, since neither of my previous piercings had been very painful and really enjoyed the piercing adrenaline rush and sensation. I decided to go with the BIG one the triangle.
I made an appointment at Black Sun, the most recommended place I found (by far), also where I had gotten both my previous piercings. As usual I got nervous as soon as I got there, even if the place is great and the staff absolutely wonderful, it seams I just automatically start to get anxious, but it's a good anxious, I really kind of enjoy the feeling (if you've been pierced I'm sure you know what I mean)
I had to wait about 15 minutes in the waiting room, I filled out the form and waited, of course making me more and more nervous, finally it is my turn. I walk into the little room, it is absolutely spotless as usual, we discuss jewellery I decide on a stainless steel CBR with a small diamond. I know it's not like people are actually going to look at this piercing but I really wanted a stone on the CBR, I had to pay a little extra but it was something I wanted, I think I just wanted it to be very feminine. The jewellery and all necessary equipment then go into the autoclave, more waiting. By this time I'm actually sweating I'm so anxious, but then again this happened to me with both other piercings, and everything went fine. I try to relax myself, think happy thoughts, breathe in through your nose out through your mouth. I'm feeling better, at least a little.
The stuff is finally ready from the autoclave, good because I am more than ready. I'm told to get undressed from the waist down and then before I know it I'm lying in the chair legs wide open ... it really feels quite strange... I'm told my anatomy is perfect for this piercing, good. Pierre cleans me very extensively down there with some sort of wipe, also very strange. I start to prepare myself mentally for the actual piercing; I think I know what's coming, but then again this is my first down there piercing. Of course he changes his gloves three of four times during the whole procedure, I know one thing I do not have to worry about in this studio is cleanliness.
I try and slow down my breathing and lie down very still, wouldn't want a crooked triangle. The entrance and exit holes are marked, I can't really see down there so I am not able to comment on the placement (as with previous piercings), but I trust this place so I tell him to go ahead. Big breath in and on the exhale I feel the needle go through, wow what a rush, I can't say it really hurt it was just like a weird pressure and stinging feeling for about one second. So worth it! Once it's done I lie still for a minute or so, trying to compose myself, wouldn't want to faint and I was feeling a little light headed, not from the pain but I think from the whole overall experience, must be the adrenaline.
After the ring is inserted which is also weird but not painful. Once it's all done I lie still for a minute or so, trying to compose myself, wouldn't want to faint and I was feeling a little light headed, not from the pain but I think from the whole overall experience, must be the adrenaline.
I'm given a mirror, what a sight to see a steel loop between your legs for the first time, but of course as with other piercing I absolutely love it. I can't wait to try it out... Walking out of there and down the three flights of stairs was quite the experience, a little tugging here a little pressure there, not a bad feeling actually.
It was a little uncomfortable for an hour or so (maybe more when I crossed my legs) and then it was just a kind nice lasting pressure feeling, I let it heal properly for about a week soaking it twice daily with sea salt soaks and then everything was great. So we put it to the test, my husband absolutely loved it, as did I. At first I was a little worried about tearing, so we took things slow but soon I realised it's solid and there to stay, it has really become a part of me.
I still to the soaks it once a day, almost three months later, but other then soaking this piecing has given me absolutely no problems whatsoever, only pleasure. If you're thinking about a triangle definitely go for it, the little amount of pain it brings in the beginning, is nothing compared to the lifetime of benefits it will provide.
