It all started when I discovered BMEzine last year! I had quite a few piercings at the time: Nose, tongue, nipple, labret, navel etc but never considered anything below the waist as I'd heard all the usual horror stories like "you have a 50/50 chance of loosing all sensation down there"!!! But after a bit of reading and research I soon found myself fascinated by the possibilities that genital piercings could offer. They looked pretty, felt good and, as for all my piercings, made you feel like your body was more your own! After considering the various possibilities I decided to go for a VCH and had that done in April. I love the piercing, but after more reading I became fascinated by "the ultimate female piercing", the triangle!

I read all the experiences I could on BMEzine and the more I read the more I knew I needed this piercing! I was pretty sure I was suited to having a triangle but the only problem was finding a piercer to do it for me. I'm a student in Manchester and though there is no shortage of body piercing studios here, unfortunately, none of the piercers I talked to were comfortable with doing the piercing and I wanted to make sure it was done perfectly. So back to BMEzine, I'd read a triangle experience that was done at Feline Tattoo in Sheffield and it looked like this was probably the closest place that could do the piercing for me. I got in touch with Feline and they said they could do it and it would cost £40. I spent a couple of weeks weighing up the pro's and cons: £40 is a lot to a student and it would be an hour train ride plus taxi fares .... but I reeeeally wanted the piercing so what the hell! I made an appointment for Sat the 11th Oct and started to get excited!

The day arrived and I managed to get on the right train and decided that it was a good excuse to eat lots of chocolate on the journey (I had to keep my blood sugar levels up!!!) I got a taxi to the piercing studio because I don't know my way around Sheffield! I walked into Feline feeling VERY nervous and started looking at the jewelry to pass the 10mins or so before my appointment. After about a minute Jayne came over and asked if I needed any help and I told her why I was there and she handed me the consent forms to sign. 5 mins later I was being led into a little purple piercing room where, with the aid of pictures, Jayne showed me exactly where the piercing would be placed. She decided that a BCR would be the best jewelry as this would put less pressure on the healing piercing. Then it was time to get nekkid from the waist down! This bit usually feels a bit weird but Jayne was very professional and chatty and I felt very at ease. I was asked to sit on a big red chair cove red in paper towels and dangle one leg over each side. After a little fiddling about she started to do the marking, she took her time over this to make sure it was in exactly the right place which reassured me. After a while of checking markings and discussing needle phobia and the evils of the dental profession it was time for the clamps. It was slightly uncomfortable but not too bad. I was reeeeeeally scared at this point as I'd heard how painful this piercing is and I'm not the biggest fan of pain. I bit down on my dreadlocks to stop myself saying anything (I swore at the piercer who did my hood!) Jayne asked if I was ready, I muffled "uh huh" and took some deep breaths and she pierced. Seriously, IT REALLY DIDN'T HURT THAT MUCH! It was over before I even had chance to register the pain, and that's not me being hard and tough- I was still digging for sympathy 3 days after getting my cartilage pierced! The jewelry insertion was uncomfortable but again, not painful! The on ly bad bit about this piercing is that it bled like crazy, and I never bleed. After the bleeding had died down Jayne turned the chair to face the mirror so I could see my new piercing. Although it was a bit bloody, the placement was perfect and it looked great. I was all grinny and on a post-piercing high as I got dressed again and paid and left my first ever piercing tip!

I was walking fine and everything was great until 1/2 way through the taxi ride back to the train station when it started throbbing and stinging. This bit was actually more painful than the piercing and I swear I could feel every bump in the road! But by the time the train got back into Manchester it was fine again and I went shopping with my sister and my boyfriend without any discomfort.

All that was on Saturday, its Wednesday now and its still a bit sore but the bruising from the clamps has gone. I have to careful sometimes when I cross my legs but apart from that it's fine! I wash it twice a day with sea salt in water and its healing great. I'm dying to test it out ;) but want to make sure its all healed first- Grrrr!!!

I'm so chuffed with the way it turned out, the placement's perfect and it looks great (especially with my VCH piercing!)! I really can't recommend Jayne enough! She's very chatty and friendly; puts you right at ease and you don't feel like you're being rushed. If you're thinking of getting a triangle then really go for it, and I would definitely recommend Feline Tattoo to anyone in the area!
