When I was initiated into the "Metal in My Pants club" with my hood piercing I knew I'd be getting more. The piercings made me feel even more pretty and opened up a whole new world of sexual experience. The only question was what to get next? I still wanted a Christina but didn't feel ready for one. Initially I didn't like the look of outer labia piercings. The rings always looked so huge and bulky. They didn't look feminine or fun at all, but as usually happens, the more I looked the more I liked! I decided that I'd like to have four done eventually but just to start with two. It had to be two at a time, due to my inability to not be symmetrical. I also decided that I'd like to have bars since all of the rings looked so big in the pictures.

Next was finding a piercer. I tend to go outside Belfast for all my piercings and it just so happened I was going over to England. Cue searching for piercing studios in and around the area! I eventually settled on going to Worthing to be pierced by Quentin ( IAM: Kalima) at Kalima. I'd heard nothing but good things about the studio and Quentin himself. I wasn't disappointed. Preliminary emails were sent as James also wanted an apadravya and wanted to make sure Quentin would do this piercing. With affirmative answers to both piercings it was set that Kalima was our destination! I decided I would get a Brazilian wax so that there would be a clean canvas so to speak and there'd be no hair for crusties to get tangled in. excuse the graphicness!

As the time approached I began to get really scared. I was convinced these piercings were going to hurt on a level I wouldn't be able to handle. I just wasn't feeling good about my ability to handle it. I was still smarting from a hard break up and as such my confidence and self esteem was kind of low. On the day of the piercing I was at a point where I was going to back out of being pierced altogether. Thankfully James was really supportive and convinced me to at least go and see what how I felt about Quentin and see what he had to say. So I agreed and we were off!

After a longish train ride and wandering around in a lost manner we found the studio. We introduced ourselves and the service we received was second to none! We were offered tea and coffee and told to sit tight as Quentin cleared the studio so he would have as much time as possible to handle our queries and actual piercings. This already started to make me feel at ease and I started feeling a bit better about the whole thing.

Eventually we were called into the room and Quentin asked who wanted to go first. I was quickly volunteered by James.. thanks.. I discussed jewellery options with Quentin but it turned out he didn't have any bars long enough. I was disappointed but after seeing the rings they actually looked ok so I decided to go ahead with it. I was to be pierced with 2.4mm BCR's with a 12mm diameter. I was asked to remove my underwear and to hop up on the table. I had once again opted for wearing a skirt so all I needed to do was to hitch it up round my waist. I don't feel so exposed that way. I hopped up and was marked up. They were placed high up so that if wanted, pressure would be applied to the clit in a pleasurable way. It's worked out well.. As Quentin got all his materials together I got more and more nervous. I tried my best to start my breathing exercises and Quentin advised me to imagine myself sinking into the piercing bed. Once I'd got my nerves semi under control I said I was ready and Quentin lined up the needle and pierced on three..

It hurt, but it was manageable! Yay! It was a deep burning version of the pain I experienced from my hood piercing. The actual pain dissipated to a throbbing pretty quickly. I was the shakiest I've ever been after a piercing, probably because I'd worked myself up so much. I took a break of about 5 minutes and was ready for the other one. I felt a bit better going into this one. Even though second piercings tend to hurt worse I was feeling a lot calmer about this piercing and as such it wasn't any worse and I didn't feel so bad afterward.

There was some bleeding so I was cleaned up and pictures were taken. I looked at them in the hand mirror given to me and I loved them. The rings looked perfect and it complimented my hood and genital anatomy perfectly. I stayed lying down for another 10 minutes or so as I was still feeling shaky. When I got up Quentin handed me a panty liner to catch any more blood and I was done! James was up next and it gave me chance to get used to the new additions. All of sudden my pants seemed a little crowded ha ha. There wasn't much pain but there was a bit of pinching. I was looking forward to the experience of walking back to the train station.. Once we were all done it was pretty late so Quentin offered to walk us back to the train station. He even made sure we got the proper train home! Now that's what I call service! Of course I heartily recommend checking out Kalima.

Immediately after
Walking was strange. I was almost like a cowboy but not quite.. It wasn't painful but it was quite uncomfortable. I had to walk with my legs slightly wider than usual but I was assured it didn't look that stupid.. It was nice when I finally got to sit on the train but even then I had to sit in a way that my legs weren't touching. Off the train and sitting in general it was easiest to sit with my legs under me in a kind of << shape. This meant my legs didn't touch and it was pretty comfortable.

When I got back from the initial piercing I immediately did a salt soak. Unfortunately there were no shot glasses so I had to use a cup. It was not a pretty picture and was pretty damn awkward! By then it was quite late so I put on a clean pair of underwear, a panty liner and went to bed. The next morning I jumped into the shower as the piercings had bleed a bit overnight and the blood crusties were getting too uncomfortable. It also gave me a chance to get a good look at the piercings. They were bruised and swollen already but looked so good! I was really pleased with them. The rest of the aftercare wasn't much different, although it was certainly made easier as there was access to a shot glass.

Week 1 – 2
Luckily this piercing was done when I had a long period off university. This meant I got to sit about with no underwear. I really think this helped with the healing. I found underwear to be really uncomfortable for the first two weeks. I did two sea salt soaks and one hot compress each day.

Week 2 – 3
I returned to work and was a bit apprehensive as the trousers of my work uniform are a bit tight in the crotch area and I wasn't sure how the piercings would like me standing around for 5 hours. It turned out it wasn't too bad although I had to take a few trips to the toilets to rearrange everything.

Week 3 – 4
Bumps started to form around the holes on both piercings. I was gutted. I really loved the piercings and it was irritating that these bumps were there destroying the aesthetics. I added a few drops of tea tree oil into my salt soaks and the bumps radically reduced in size.

Two months
I decided to try switching one of the rings to a bar, as a bar would be less likely to twist about. The jewellery change went off well but it's not advisable to change jewellery yourself, particularly when the piercing isn't fully healed. You do this at your own risk!

Once the piercings had settled down after the jewellery change and the bumps had gone I stopped doing soaks every day. I've found my piercings heal best following this method but you disregard your piercer's advice at your own risk! I found that having a bar did help but the bar currently in needs to be shortened now that the piercings have been done around 6 months and are pretty settled.

I have found that sometimes the combination of the labia piercings, their placement and the hood piercing can result in some painful moments. Occasionally the labia will manage to hook under the hood bar, which causes a really uncomfortable pinching! Sexually these piercings have resulted in a lot of new ideas and are a lot of fun. I would also recommend a waxing session before getting these piercings. You really don't want to have to contend with hair for as long as possible as it will be a while before you can shave comfortably and even longer before you can get waxed.

Conclusion
I've never been so nervous about getting pierced as I was this time. These piercings helped to restore my confidence in myself and my self esteem when I needed it. I can handle whatever is thrown at me and come through it better (and prettier!). When it comes to getting the next pair I will be more calm and ready and will hopefully have an even more positive experience.
