Hello all!!! Let me start by saying BME rules, they have the greatest site for anyone that has or is thinking of getting a tattoo or piercing.

OK now that I have that of my mind........hehe. Here goes!! In the last year I have gotten 12 piercing, none of which I would have even thought of getting if I haven't found BME.

I started with an outer labia piercing done at modified tattoos and body piercing. I must say it was a horrifying experience. I am a spur of the moment piercer, I see a piercing I want and within a day I have that piercing (this is not always a good thing).

After searching and reading stories on BME the whole previous night, I went to one of my local piercing shops to get the piercing done. I went alone and was scared absolutely silly. I couldn't even tell the person inside what piercing I actually wanted. I kept saying you know the lower lips, they laughed at me. This actually relaxed me quite a bit. The guy who did the piercing (I forget his name) took me outside where it was only me and him and was to loud for anyone to over hear the conversation. We then discussed what I wanted, the jewelry, and the price. Then we went back into the shop and got the paper work started. He asked for my ID and gave me the low down on the paper work. I filled out the papers and paid the $140 for both sides to be done.

He had me wait while he set up so that I could try to relax myself. It didn't work!!!! The guy who did the piercing was great. He was totally professional and even joked with me to help ease the tension. When we got into the backroom he washed up and went over what I call the basics (what he would do, what he was using etc.) when all that was done it was time for me to remove my clothing from the lower area and spread my legs. This was the part I was dreading I mean spreading my legs in front of a stranger after being married for seven years, this was a little weird. However he was so professional it wasn't uncomfortable at all, he actually had a picture of his son on the wall and this really helped me to relax. After he finished setting up we were ready to begin.

He cleaned the area and marked the spots to be pierced, this took a while because he was making sure they were lined up and even (a perfectionist). After he marks them straight he asked me to check them, ummmmmmmm no thanks (hehe). He looked the spots over again himself and said that he was ready whenever I was. I just nodded that I was ready cause I thought if I tried to talk I would throw up. He told me to take three deep breaths in and out, on the last exhale he said he would push the needle through. So I started breathing (it is amazing I didn't hyperventilate) and as I exhaled the last time he stuck me (ouch ouch), I jumped and he missed, (totally my fault). He found it quite humorous!!! I didn't. I considered getting up and leaving after that, after all this had to be my bodies way of saying don't do it right? I didn't listen!!! After making sure I was OK he switched to the other side to give the first a break, I braced myself even more for this one, I was de termined to get it done and not to jump this time. I started my breathing again, in and out ...in and out.......on the last exhale in went the needle. YES it hurt, but it wasn't unbearable, for me anyway and I am not a fan of pain either!!!! Then he asked if I wanted him to try the other side again, of course I did, so we repeated the procedure on the other side. I didn't jump this time, but it hurt a lot more because of the mess up the first time.

After the piercings were done he cleaned the area and got me a mirror so I could see my new jewelry, I loved them right away and I still love them today. After I got done looking at them and finished getting dressed, he went over the aftercare with me, he even gave me a packet of sea salt to get me started on my cleaning. The aftercare is as follows, don't touch the piercing unless cleaning it, this should be done twice a day with warm sea salt water, I forget the exact percentage mixture something like 1/4tsp per 8oz of water (I think??). The healing time I cant remember but I know he told me, I think like 6 to 8 weeks.

Then he asked me if I had any questions, only question I had was how long before I can "test drive" them (hehehe)!!!!! I was told I would have to wait at least a month. After a very upset sigh, I thanked him , tipped him and was on my merry way. I have had no problems with either piercing they are actually very fun. My husband enjoys them as much as I do..........hehe. If you are considering this piercing read up on it first, but definitely get it done it is worth it!!!!!!
