As long as I can remember piercings always have had a special appeal to me, all the way back to my earliest memories. Finally when I was 18 i got my very first piercing (in my navel), i absolutely loved it - the way it looked, the way it felt and never the less the excitement and adrenalin build up in the whole process of having it done. After that first experience i knew i would get more, i must say i developed some kind of addition to it!

Through the last 6 years, me and a very good friend of mine, who also happens to be my piercer, have had some kind of silent competition with one another – when one of us got a new piercing, the other would follow shortly. It has now added up to 4 ear piercings in each ear, including a fledgling flesh tunnel which is up to about 5 mm now, and 1 in my tragus, a septum and a quad tongue, both my nipples (made at 3,2 mm), 3 horizontal rings in my hood 5 in each side of my outer labia (3,2 mm).

Originally I planed to get 5 in each outer labia, but my piercer suggested not to make them all in one time, so she marked spots for 3 rings (2,4 mm) in each side, 3 cm apart, making place for 2 more in each side in between the others. I properly would not have been able to go through with it any way.

I was a bit nervous prior the first piercing, but fortunately I had plenty of time to calm down, which my piercer did a great job helping me with. She sprayed me with lignocaine anaesthetic, which took around 15 minutes to start working. I remember asking her how bad it was going to hurt; even though she had told me a hundred times that I wasn't the worst area place to get pierced in (she had just gotten her inner labia pierced a few weeks before). After a short moment of hyperventilating I told her that I was ready, and she began lining up the tools and clamped me up. When she took the first needle up the spot, I tried to give her a smile to tell her that I was ready. When I felt that she began to push the needle went through I gave a shout, but to my big surprise it really did not hurt that bad, I guess it was because of the expected pain and my pumping adrenalin. She then proceeded making the next piercing in the other side parallel to the first, and so forth with the oth er. Getting to the 5th piercing was absolutely the worst one, for some reason that one hurt like hell and I could hardly bear the burning feeling, and almost didn't go through with the last. Luckily I did, at the last (for that night!) I almost could not feel. She then looked a me and congratulated me .... I REALLY DID IT, and for the first time during the process I looked down. What a shock that was, seeing the needles still sitting there, sticking out of me, with a bit of blood running. I got a little dizzy, and hay to lie down for a little while, before putting in the new jewelry. I my opinion the congratulations was too early, because insertion of the rings brought back the burning feeling, which lasted the entire night, but it wasn't too bad at all.

The next three days my new piercings was quite a bit tender when I sat down, but compared to my nipple piercings, it's been no bother at all.

After 6 weeks of healing, I decided that it was time for me to get the last 4 piercings done, according to my planned project. The procedure was pretty much the same as explained above, but this time we used a "miracle cream" called Emla. It had to work in app. 45 min., and believe me when I say, that I could barely feel the needle going through – I was totally numb, a very strange feeling down there.

When I woke up the next morning, I was a bit swollen and the pain was not very bad, but still there.

Two months after the experience, my piercings were almost done healing, so I figured it was time to stretched them up to 3,2 mm (I think I will go for 4 mm.) It really hurt like a bitch – it was actually more worse than getting them, but definitely worth it in the end – I really like how the larger rings looks and feels.

Feel free to write I you have any questions or if you have any inspiring stories to tell me - otherwise happy piercing out there!!!
