2 labias, aveeno and a LOT of pain |
| ||||||||||||||||
It was this past summer that i decided i got the money to splurge on a new piercing...looking around nothing seemed *quite* right for me, and after a lot of pondering i decided i wanted a genital piecing. Now, genitals piercings are illegal in my state (Maine) so this was a perfect excuse to take a trip to Boston. I decided i wanted my outer labia done....and two to boot. I didnt particularly like the pics i saw but i thought i would like them on myself and the more i thought about it, the better i felt about it.I went with my boyfriend and our friend Newt, who got their septums and madison done respectively.
Tribal ways is clean, professional, and experienced. It is run by Michael who is a nurse and i would HIGHLY reccommend anyone in the 100-200 mile area+ to go there for any piercing. Though they are slightly expensive (70 pops a piercing) I can assure you the piece of mind is worth the price. Their website is www.tribalways.com if you want to check it out, but coming from a satisfied customer I assure you they take the upmost care to provide quality sterile piercing.
Waiting there after an ID check and initial "counseling" (which consisted of being sat down and told all about the procedure and aftercare...with a lot of helpful hints like putting saltwater in a water-hair squirt bottle thing for *down there*)
I went to see my bf Bob get his septum done by Michael, the owner. He was very careful and professional and the only time he felt pain was during tapering. Feeling more confident I waited until Newt was done and went in to get mine done.
I stripped down off my pants and panties and sat down on the chair with Bob at my side. I made sure that noone else would be in the room, but i got a curtain divider as well. Sitting bare-assed on a piercing chair in Boston was...interesting--and after notifying them that i was ready, my nerves were acting up. Aaron, the owner's son with a LOT of experience came in to do my piercing and he had 2 12gauge SS CBR's which i thought were wonderful. At this point frankly jewlery was the last thing on my mind, I was thinking about how a needle was about to be placed on ad through my genitals!
After disenfecting and marking he held up a mirror and asked if it was ok. I went to touch and he told me not to, as it wouldnt be sanitary, so i looked again and said it was fine.
Sitting back he prepared what he would need (and i avoided looking at the needle) and he clamped.....and.....GOOD FUCKING LORD DID IT HURT! After reading all the experiences and knowng from experiences that labias are indestuctible and can take a lot of yanking and the such i was NOT prepared for this pain. I screamed...loud, and was having second thoughts about the second. He put the jewlery in and clamped the second before I could protest and this hurt MORE, if thats possible. The second one bled and after putting in the second piece of jewlery i felt a little sick and a LOT hurt. I liked the look of it and after dressingand putting in a pantyliner he gave me i knew the worst was over. (We'll get to THAT assumption later!)
Coming out of the room i sat for a bit in the waiting area and people were looking at me funny, and it wasn't until we were in the car I remembered the whole screaming thing and Newt told me they were like "what is SHE getting done?"
After getting back to Maine i picked up some Aveeno (collodial oatmeal bath mixture good for skin irritation and genital piercings). This bath felt good! I never have had a problem with my labias in healing and infections...ive taken good care of them and they've healed great.
Theyre more of an appearance piercing than a sexual one, as i dont get a lot of physical pleasure from having them there. A lot of times i forget or it hasnt hit me (its been like 5 months) and im like "DAMN! I have my pussy pierced!" which brings a smile to my face...also i was wondering if they would go off in a metal detector, as i would be quite happy if i could explain why..hehehe.
i wasnt smiling the night my bf's septum got caught in one of the rings however. THAT hurt more than the piercing itself! It was dark and he got caught and jerked his head away real quick (good move, bob) making a 1/4 inch tear in the skin and the jewlery yanked out. I bled bad and we put one of the curved barbells in because it hurt to much to try and get the ring in....and i still think it is migrating, but it may be it is permanently close to the surface. That saddens me because i was going to send a pic to BME but im afraid it will look silly, we'll see....
If it DOES come out you can bet im not having it redone....no WAY! I think childbirth will be the next event i'll willingly endure for that amount of pain.
Anyway, i want my tragus's next and a bridge, some surface piercings, etc. Bob and i are going to get our belly b's and nipples done together in the distant future that includes money...ahhhh--money.
**among other piercings**
Happy piercing!
