Eight At Once

I have already had just about everything pierced. I have a surface piercing on my neck, my septum is done, and tongue, nipples, hood, and everything else you can think of. All but my labia. So Sat. I decided it would be cool to pierce my labia 6 times. (3 on either side) So I told my fiancé, who told his best-friend Shane. Well, Shane suggested that I do 12! Call me crazy, I agreed.

I took the time to research it a bit. I wanted to know the risk of rejection. I wanted to know pain level, and healing time. Of course my fiancé's #1 question was, "when can we have sex again?"

I found out that there is a slight risk of rejection. Pain level is considered medium. Healing time is about 5 months. As for the sex question, I've heard everything from a couple of days to a couple of months. (Of course I am writing this 1-day after the fact and I feel as if I will never have sex again.)

So, yesterday (Thurs.) with much apprehension I went for it.

I thought it would be uncomfortable to say the least to have my fiancé's best friend messing around with my biscuit. It really wasn't so bad. For the most part it was all business. He took a lot of time to make sure he marked everything accurately.

I have to hand it to Shane. He has great technique and his piercings are really quick. He tells you to take a deep breath in and he pierces when you breathe out. It really does help with the pain. Shane always asks if you're okay and tells you what is happening the whole time. In a situation where you can't see exactly what is going on, it is great to be informed when the piercing is over etc.

So the first one went in with just a pinch. "Not too bad," I thought. He left the needle in and went for the second one. I already knew that the second one was gonna hurt worse, and it did. It was quick. My leg jumped on the side that he was piercing. It was uncontrollable.

Now was the part where he threaded the curved barbell through my fresh piercings. Let me tell you the threads were not comfortable! I swear I could feel them ripping up the flesh on the inside of my labia. It was a slower process then the actual piercings. I think it may have even hurt worse than the piercing itself.

Okay, so I now have two barbells in my labia. All I can think about at this point is I have to go through this 6 more times. (By the way we only had enough barbells to do 8 this time) I wasn't sure if I wanted to go through with the rest. At the risk of being a "pussy" I decided to take the rest without complaining.

The next six were no more painful then the first two. Luckily Shane took his time screwing the balls on after every two that he did. That gave me a little break in between. He used tools to tighten the balls. He wanted to make sure they were on nice and tight. Having metal tools attached to fresh piercings made me a little nervous, but he didn't hurt me.

When it was all over, I looked in the mirror. To be quite honest all I saw was the blood. I have to admit I am a bit of a wimp when I see my own blood. I figured it would bleed, but it was more then I thought it would be.

Shane cleaned me up and took pictures of his "masterpiece" as he called it. I got a better look at it, and it is very cool. It looks very biomechanical.

I very carefully replaced my clothing and stepped on to the floor. I had to take baby-steps into the other room where I attempted to sit. Ouch!!! Shane said I looked like I was walking with a book on my head. I'm not sure if that was due to actual pain or fear of pain.

As for the healing, it has only been 24 hours. So I can't tell you too much about it. It continued to bleed for about 7 hours. I probably shouldn't have gone to the Blink 182 show right afterwards, but ya gotta live. I'm quite sure that all that standing and moving around didn't help matters. I got home took a shower and cleaned it up. At around 1:00 am it was slightly swollen and very sore.

I woke up this morning around 7:00 am and it appeared to be more swollen, but not nearly as sore. I sat on an ice pack when I got to work and that relieved a lot of the pressure. (That's what it feels like, pressure.) So far there has been no more bleeding.
