I love my Christina! I have had my Christina for about a week now and let me say that I never thought I would ever have the guts to go through with it. I had done some research on the 'net for about a week before I had finally made up my mind. I just kept thinking about how it would compliment my vertical hood and outer labia piercings. I've never known anyone that had this particular piercing so I basically had to rely on BME for feedback, which was very helpful by the way.

The night I got my piercing, it was an impulsive decision. I didn't call to schedule an appointment or anything like that. I was close to the shop, Just Another Hole in Broken Arrow, OK (a suburb of Tulsa, OK) and decided what the hell. I was glad I was by myself this time because a week earlier, I let my best friend go with me to get my nipples pierced(by the same piercer, Jesse, who is great!), she yelled and jumped more than I did, and she was just watching! Go figure! I decided when I'm by myself, I'm more calm and less likely to chicken out. I pulled up about 10 minutes before 9PM, which was closing time and just my luck, Jesse was at the counter. I asked him if it was too late and he said no. I told him what I wanted and he reassured me he had done plenty of Christina piercings. I told him about my concerns of rejection and migration and we decided to use a 12g for it. I'm meaty in that area and I was afraid a 14g would cause problems for me and I didn't want the piercing to be too long between holes.
I signed paperwork and paid while he prepped what he needed for the piercing. We went to the back area and that's when I started getting nervous. Not nervous that I had undressed in front of someone a barely knew because he was great at making you feel relaxed through conversation, but just thinking about that needle!! I recalled the pain for my two outer labia and thought it couldn't be any worse than that! I laid on the table after being marked and agreeing on location. He was ready and told me to count to three and the needle went through and I tell you, there is no way to describe the pain! It hurt! I screamed and I am not the one to scream during a piercing! I had never screamed even with my outer labia. Though it was over just as quick as any piercing, it was the most painful. However, it was worth it. Let the truth be told, I would have rather sat through a 3-5 hour tattoo job! It was weird getting in the car and driving myself home. It hurt for the first night because of the swelling, but I wore baggy pants and a panty liner for the little bit of bleeding for the first few days and that was all the trouble I had out of it. Just remember to do the sea salt soaks twice a day and bathe with anti-bacterial soap. I personally use Dial gold bar.
I haven't had any sexual relations since I got it to tell you how it feels, but I'll find out soon. My boyfriend thinks i'm crazy for having these piercings but he loves it. He loves to look at them in amazement and says it makes "her" look pretty! That's a different subject all together! Convincing him to get a piercing will take me about another hundred years, but that's ok. I don't like either of us being out of commission. It's hell! I love my new piercing though and it really did go well with my VCH and labia! I think female genital piercings are great! I think they can be liberating as far as making a woman feel proud of her who-hah and besides, I view them as accessories for my kitty! Especially with jeweled rings or colorful barbells. What's also great is that you can hide it and no one has to know but you and/or your significant other.
Take extra caution when making decisions like this one, just make sure you go to someone who is experienced and the shop is clean and sanitary! If you don't feel comfortable when you walk into a tattoo/piercing shop, feel free to walk right back out and go somewhere else. Use your better judgment. There are plenty of great piercers and tattoo artists out there that would love to have more customers! I think my next piercing will be a triangle! I heard those rock!!! I'm still trying to work out what I want my next tattoo to be also!
