I love getting pierced. In terms of piercings, beauty is pain for me and that's ok. I had my ears double pierced as well as my left cartilage done before I was 15 years old, and those were painful but worth it. When I was 16, my stepmother took me to get my bellybutton pierced and I was quite proud of myself for doing that. Once I turned 18 and graduated high school, right after graduation I got my left nostril pierced and that was quite painful. I gagged! Yet again, it was totally worth it. After that, I got my right eyebrow pierced and that wasn't so bad, and I even had the right side of my lip pierced for a little while. The lip piercing annoyed me, so I ended up removing it after about 3 months of having it. I also have 4 tattoos.

So all in all, I had 7 piercings.

Until today, when I added piercings number 8 and 9.

I didn't want any more visible piercings, so I started looking at less visible things. I knew I didn't want anymore facial piercings, and most surface piercings tend to migrate and grow out, so I knew they weren't what I wanted. I began thinking about getting a vertical clitoral hood piercing for a couple of months, and decided to do some research on genital piercings in general for an article I was writing for the website I write for. I began reading about the whole array of female genital piercings and their risks.

Yesterday, I decided that I was ready to take the plunge to below the belt piercings, so I made some time in my schedule to stop by Twisted Images, the tattoo and piercing shop I frequent. I have gotten all 4 of my tattoos there, as well as my nose, eyebrow and lip piercings. I trust the people I know who work there, and the shop is infinitely clean and tidy. I walked in, expecting to get the piercing that day and walk out feeling like a whole new woman. I took a seat and waited for Amy, the piercing artist, to get finished with the piercing she was working on. I was pretty anxious, sitting there waiting.

It didn't go the way I planned it that day, because Amy came to talk to me about the vertical hood piercing and asked me if I had been on antibiotics in the past 24 hours. Well, having just recently gotten a tooth pulled, I had just taken my last round of antibiotics the day before. She explained to me that the fact that I had taken antibiotics in the past 24 hours wasn't a good time for a piercing in that region, because for some reason, antibiotics make things swell and even more so below the belt. But she did say that she'd check out my anatomy and make sure I was suited for the piercing.

Amy took me into her piercing room and examined me and told me that I had perfect anatomy for not only the vertical hood piercing that I had in mind, but also a Christina piercing. Me being me, I was automatically interested in getting the Christina as well. We decided to do the piercings the day after. She said she'd do both piercings for $80, which is a real deal because she normally charges $50 for one of them, and $60 for the other piercing. So not only was I going to get my piercing, I was also going to get another one and I was getting a $30 discount!

The anticipation killed me for the next 20 or so hours until it was time to get my piercings.

Before I knew it, it was today!

So today, at noon, I headed up to Twisted Images and Amy and I got right to the piercing process. We went upstairs to her piercing room, and I began unclothing. I chose to wear a dress so I wouldn't have pants to rub up against the piercings, in case they were sore afterwards. I stripped off my panties and my garter belt and stockings and hopped up onto the piercing table. The anticipation was just too much to bear. For the most part, I wasn't really scared of the pain. I had sat through a 7 hour tattoo on my lower back several months earlier, so I figured I could sit through anything. Amy began getting the supplies ready, as well as marking me for the piercing. She said that most women can't sit through two genital piercings in one sitting, but went ahead and marked me for both piercings anyway and got the supplies for both ready, just in case. We decided to try to vertical hood piercing first.

I laid back and relaxed, hands behind my head. I had my legs in stirrups and Amy showed me what was going to be done. She showed me the needle receiving tube that would be placed beneath the hood to catch the needle, and she also helped me pick the spot where the bottom ball on my jewelry would rest. Then, Amy told me to begin taking deep breaths in and out. After about 5 breaths, I was relaxed and she told me to breathe in and hold it, and then told me to exhale and on the exhale, she pushed the needle through. It stung! It hurt momentarily, just enough to make you just want to say "FUCK!" and then it was over. She inserted the jewelry no problem and screwed the ball onto the curved barbell. She asked me to sit up and gave me a hand mirror to check out what she'd done and decide if I could take the Christina piercing as well. After about a minute of admiration, I told her that I think I needed more jewelry down there, and laid back down. I figured that the worst was over.

I began breathing slowly again, in and out. On about my third breath, she had me inhale and hold, and on the exhale she shoved the needle through. It wasn't a much different feeling than the hood piercing, except for I think it stung for a little bit longer. She inserted the jewelry and screwed the tiny ball on the end. I sat up and admired once again, exclaimed how cute they looked, and then hopped off of the table. I didn't feel them at all! I began redressing as Amy told me about the aftercare. She said I could use warm sea salt water, or my own urine, to wash it with. The reason for washing it with urine is that urine is completely sterile, and will clean it just as well as the sea salt soaks would. I decided that I'd do both, because using my own urine just seemed a lot more convenient as well as sanitary. You never know what is in the water around here sometimes! I was told not to have oral sex for 2 weeks and not to have intercourse for 4 weeks.

I walked back downstairs with Amy once I had my clothes back on, and paid her, tipping her an extra $10 making the grand total for my new beautiful piercings to be $90. She gave me some sea salt and I went on my way, laughing a little when I walked down the sidewalk back to my car, knowing that I had two new piercings that the people on the street had no idea about.

All in all, it was actually the most pleasant piercing experience that I have went through. I was a lot more relaxed with these two piercings than I was with my others. Amy is a talented and well-informed piercer and I absolutely adore my new piercings.
