A year ago my interest for genital piercings – and piercings in general – was born.

To be honest with you, I don't know what suddenly gave birth to my interest. I have several friends who are pierced but as far as I know, none of them have genital piercings, and I hadn't heard much about genital piercings. For instance, I didn't know how sexually stimulating some of them can be.

It took me about a month to decide that I wanted a vertical clit hood piercing. I did a lot of research on the Internet and it seemed that piercing was quite a good for beginners like me; people who had no experience with getting pierced.

So, I got the vertical clit hood piercing. It hurt very much when the needle passed through the clit hood, but the pain was over after a second and was definitely worth it. I loved the piercing – and I still do – and a few weeks later, I started thinking about getting another piercing; another genital piercing.

Again, I did a lot of research and I found pictures of several genital piercings that I really liked. The Christina piercing, however, was one piercing I simply fell in love with. It's beautiful and it would definitely suit my vertical clit hood piercing well, I thought.

I read all the Christina stories on here at Bmezine and it surprised me to find out that most women found the pain of the Christina much worse than the pain of getting e.g. a vertical clit hood piercing. I actually don't know why it surprised me this much. Maybe I had an idea a vertical clit hood piercing would hurt more because the area getting piercing is closer to clitoris?

I don't know, but the Christina experiences I read about definitely made me nervous but also desperate to get a Christina, as everyone who had got through the pain of Christina seemed to think it was worth it.

My boyfriend wasn't excited when I told him I wanted another genital piercing. He didn't like it when I got my first one, but he got used to it (and now he says he actually finds it pretty sexy). However, he told me he though I was going too far by getting a Christina, which made me reconsider getting a Christina.

I thought about it for quite some time, but I found myself longing too much after getting a Christina to go along with what my boyfriend thought was the right thing to do. Therefore I told him I had (almost) made up my mind and that my decision was indisputable.

I had read there is a risk that Christinas wash out, and I talked to several piercers about it. One of the piercers I talked to seemed very negative about the piercing and said he wouldn't recommend it. Another piercer, who is also more experienced and very respected - was more positive and told me a Christina wouldn't be a big problem if I got a surface bar in the piercing. He told me that it reduces the risk of the Christina washing out.

Therefore I decided to take the plunge and got my second genital piercing, and you know what? Getting my Christina wasn't so bad after all!

I was very nervous at the piercer's, but it surprised me how little the Christina actually hurt. In my opinion, the vertical clit hood is more painful. I found the pain connected with my Christina less intense than the pain I felt when I got my clit hood pierced, and when the piercer had put in the jewelry, I couldn't help but ask "Was that really it?"

It was. I loved my Christina from the very beginning, and it does suit my vertical clit hood piercing very well, I think.

I must admit it was quite a burden the first month or two. It is very important to soak it with sea salt water and I did it every day. Besides, when it comes to sex, I had problems with a few positions as I was afraid to irritate my new piercing, so my boyfriend and I needed to take it easy and be extra careful for some time.

My Christina is beginning to heal, and it doesn't seem to be washing out. Hopefully it never will but should that happen, I will definitely give it another try and have it re-pierced. I still soak it with sea salt water once a day and I do my best to wear clothes that won't irritate the piercing too much.

My advice when it comes to Christina piercings is: If you want one, get one! It's as simple as that.

It may be quite a burdensome piercing that needs extra good care, but Christina is definitely worth it. Christina is nothing short of a beauty queen.
