A little over two months ago I was helping my boyfriend create a gift for his little brother's birthday. He was going to super-impose the face of Christina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil onto photos of naked women from the magazine Perfect 10 (they turned out amazing/hilarious). As he was flipping through, I saw a photo of a woman on her back with this beautiful little silver, gemmed barbell resting symmetrically above her labia. I thought it was absolutely gorgeous! My boyfriend agreed.

I submitted a story about my labret piercing that I got roughly four months ago so I could view the genital piercings. I was convinced that I was going to get it done - they really are beautiful.
Two of my friends recommended checking out Art Bomb in Canton, Ohio, which is about 20 minutes away. My roommate and I went there and asked a bunch of questions about the procedure and their experience. I also let the piercer take a look at my anatomy to know whether it would most likely not reject and whether to use a straight or curved barbell. Curved barbell it was! I was glad, I think they flatter the area more than a straight one.
A week or two later I gathered up my boyfriend and roommate and we drove to Art Bomb. Mike, the piercer that I had consulted with was taking a "personal day" so I agreed to have Barbara pierce me. She had more experience, anyway. My boyfriend later told me that that had made him more comfortable with the whole thing. I paid just under $70, signed on all of the X's and took a seat while Barbara prepared the equipment.
When we were called back, Barbara was very thorough. First, she stepped out while I undressed from the waist down and put one of those plastic cloths over my lap. She came back in and asked how many other piercings I had, why I was interested in getting a Christina piercing, and what exactly would be done. She also included some information about getting a hood piercing, which my roommate was interested in getting.
She cleaned the area twice with iodine (I believe) and then marked both spots. She gave me a hand-held mirror to check things out so I wouldn't have to get up. Everything checked out, I even had my boyfriend take a look at the placement. After she put the clamps on (uncomfortable... a little pinchy) she told me that when the needle went through it would feel very hot. She compared it to getting your bellybutton pierced, since the skin is of about the same thickness. I don't have mine done, but to anyone that has (my other roommate said it killed...), you can compare it to that. Well, she had me inhale and when I exhaled she pierced me. I didn't really get to exhale - instead I sucked in more air and my whole body jumped. It hurt soooooo badly. I'm not going to lie - it hurt like a bitch and a half. I used to say that losing my virginity was the most intense pain that I have voluntarily put myself through - but no. This was. "It feels hot" - my ass. But it was only a few seconds, honest.
My friends laughed at me and asked if I were all right after my entire body jumped. I was fine - the pain was gone. It was a little uncomfortable as she put in the jewelry, but after that I looked at it in the mirror and was elated. It looked so good! I sat up and felt nothing. I put my underwear and pants back on, I felt nothing. It only felt a little warm, no pain at all. I haven't felt pain since then.
For my aftercare I use a salt soak (using a shot glass for such a difficult spot) twice a day and clean the inside with Provon soap. It has been almost a month since I got it done and can change it after about two or three months. Sex is only mildly difficult with the piercing. The pressure/friction can be uncomfortable at times, but now it isn't too bad (he's happy). It's also not too great when he catches his teeth on it - ow. Nor is it fun when you catch your under wear on it. But otherwise, I don't feel a thing. I plan to change the jewelry to either a silver or black barbell with a white gem on the top ball. I love my piercing, it makes me unique because not many people are aware of what it is nor do they have the balls to get it done. It's worth it though, trust me!
