About a month ago, while Mike Pitts, my friend slash amazing piercer, was guest piercing at Top Tattoo in Seattle, WA; he came to me in need of new genital piercings for his portfolio. He offered me a discounted piercing price in exchange for packaging jewelry for the autoclave and of course, the portfolio pictures. After taking some time to contemplate vertical outer labia piercings and christina piercings, I decided to go for my Christina. I had been thinking about the Christina for longer so I figured I would do that one first. Mike cleaned me up, marked the piercing location. He then got out a 10 gauge, inch and a half(I'm guessing on length here)straight barbell, a 12 gauge needle, and a 10 gauge taper. I laid on the table in what Mike called a "froggy" position. I had the bottoms of my feet together and my knees wide apart. There were stirrups attatched to the table, but Mike said that christinas were easier to do in this "froggy" position. This made sense. W hen your feet are in stirrups, they allow easy access to the genitals. But they cause your knees to be straight up as opposed to open. The "froggy" position gives more room for the piercer to work on a christina.

Mike set the needle in place and had me begin breathing with him. Feeling that scalpel against my skin already hurt. I was so nervous for this. I was shaking and having an asthma attack, which was the least of my concerns at the time. I knew it would hurt because of all the hair follicles the needle would be going through. Once the needle was half way through, my legs locked. I could not breathe correctly. It pinched so much, I just wanted it to be over; but I couldn't breathe or relax. Mike waited with me and got me to take deep breaths. He told me he wasn't going to finish the piercing until I relaxed. He reassured me by telling me that I could do this, that the piercing was almost done, and that I was doing great so far.
Once I was relaxed again, he finished the piercing. The needle exiting the skin was more painful that the rest of the piercing. It was a sharp pinch that was like no other I'd felt before. It almost made me scream. Actually, I may have. I also managed to need to hold two peoples' hands. I was relieved for about three seconds after the needle was through before I remembered that that was only a 12 gauge needle. We still had to stretch the piercing to 10 gauge. Mike loves to pierce and stretch.
The stretching actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it still hurt, it just wasn't as bad. It didn't make me want to scream too much, it just produced some very interesting facial expressions and twitching.
Mike then threaded through the barbell and cleaned me up. He then placed a saline pad on my piercing which was almost orgasmic. Nothing is better after getting pierced than cold salt water. That took away all the pain very quickly and made me relax.
Once my piercing was done, I was on cloud nine, but it was difficult to sit. All I wanted to do was get out of my pants. Sitting through dinner was difficult, but I wasn't going to give up a goodbye dinner with Mike.
All in all, I love my christina. It's getting close to the point that Mike will want to take pictures of it. Mike got me through the pain with his wonderful bedside manners. If he wasn't walking me through it, we may not have stayed friends. I may have hated him. Well, probably not, but I wouldn't have been very happy with him. Having a great piercer and friend there doing this for me helped greatly. If a stranger had pierced me, the pain probably would have been worse due to the fact that it would be more difficult to relax. It's definitely a beautiful piercing, one of the most beautiful that I have so far. It follows the line of the body amazingly. I would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone that is thinking about getting it done and is up for going through a lot of pain. It's one of the many beautiful and painful things in life. It doesn't get in the way during sex or rub weird against clothes. It's simply a great piercing.
