When I was 18 I got into piercing in quite a big way. It wasn't until I was 24 though that I discovered BME.

UK For quite some time now I've enjoyed looking through BME and IAM. I like to look for ideas of what to have next. It was while I was browsing through the female genital gallery that I first saw a Christina.
At that time I already had 2 labia piercings, my clit hood and my clit done. So I guess I'm fine with the idea of genital piercings.
I decided that I liked the Christina enough to want it done.
I called my piercer and booked myself in for an appointment for that afternoon.
When we arrived (Russ came with me as he likes to watch piercings being done) James was really busy. We ended up waiting for quite sometime. Finally I was called in. James asked me what I wanted so I told him, a Christina. He looked a little puzzled for a moment. He then asked if I was talking about a triangle, as he'd never heard of a Christina. We managed to explain it.
As he had never heard of it, he obviously had never done one either. We talked for a little while, deciding exactly how it was going to be done. When I had my labia, clit hood and clit done he used lidocaine. He also uses ethyl chloride on certain piercings. Lidocaine is good on moist, thin areas, like the labia. Whereas ethyl chloride is good on thicker, dry tissue, like nipples. He decided to go for a combination of the two. He used the lidocaine on the inner part and froze the external area with the ethyl.
With a little help from Russ he plotted the dots to show where the piercing would go. I was thankful for Russ' help. As he's into piercings quite heavily he knows where a Christina is meant to be. James was also thankful for the guidance.
As he squirted on the lidocaine with his specially adapted applicator he reminded me that it would sting a little. Even though he used quite a lot of wadded tissue to try to stop any lidocaine dripping down, it still managed to seep through. It wasn't painful, but it was far from comfortable as it went past my clit. It managed to drip all the way down, burning every part of me it touched. It finally stopped when it could go no further. Unfortunately by then it had passed all of my most sensitive areas.
Next James started using the ethyl chloride. As always, that was fine. All ethyl does is freeze the area, so apart from being cold, it feels fine.
Once the whole area, inside and out, was numbed James was ready to pierce. By this time Russ had to leave, so he didn't get to see the actual piercing.
James took out the cannula and told me not to look. I did though as I like to watch piercings being done and it doesn't make me squeamish to watch. He attached the clamps and started at the bottom dot, asking me all the while how it felt. This was mainly for his benefit, as he had no prior knowledge of this piercing. I assured him that I could only feel pressure. The piercing was over quickly, as always. As the needle passed through the centre of the flesh I felt a tiny amount of pain. It was over far too quickly to really notice though.
James removed the needle so I was left with just the catheter in, while he reached for the jewellery. He then slid the barbell through the catheter. He admitted that he made a slight mistake while inserting the jewellery...he slid the bar through the catheter from top to bottom. This was fine, but it would've been a lot easier if he had gone from bottom to top. He realised this when he went to put the ball on the end of the bar. It would've been really tricky for him to do this, as that's the moist and restricted end of the bar, so he decided to take the bar out and go in from the other end.
This caused a little problem, as he pulled out the bar the catheter slipped a little, he thought for a moment that he had lost the piercing completely, but with his expertise he managed to reinsert the catheter, so all was right again and he was ready to fit the jewellery again...this time from the bottom.
The bar went through with no problems, so James pulled out the catheter. He started to fix the ball onto the jewellery. This was, surprisingly, the most painful part of the piercing, and so is where I give my most important piece of advice if you're getting this done. I don't normally shave my pubic hair, so when James tightened the ball he managed to catch a hair or two...it was quite uncomfortable. If you're getting a Christina, please, even if you don't normally, shave the area first.
James cleaned the area, not that there was really much blood to worry about, and I got dressed. I told him all I could about how it felt. In my opinion it felt very similar to having my navel done. It was far from painful, and as usual, James made the whole experience relaxing.
He thanked me for introducing him to a new piercing and the opportunity to learn how to do it. Because he was grateful he only charged me £5, so I was more than satisfied J
A few days later it was a little uncomfortable. My flesh has swollen a little, making it tight and painful to bend over. I went back to James and he put in a longer bar. This time he used a PTFE bar instead, so that I could cut it to size myself when the swelling went down.
About a week later I was able to take the PTFE bar out, without problems, trim it and put it back.
Apart from the tight bar, I had no after care problems. It healed within a couple of weeks and now I can change the bar whenever I want.
I would recommend that if you're getting this done, get it with PTFE. It's far more comfortable than metal.
On a final, positive note...when I had sex I was pleasantly surprised. Because the bar is quite long, during sex it gets pushed downwards. It pushes down on my other piercings, which really enhances pleasure. I really didn't expect that.
