Well. I'll start this story by saying that English isn't my first language, which you'll probably notice, but I'm doing my best...just hope it's good enough. I searched the internet for information about the fourchette before I got mine done, and I really couldn't find much at all. I found some info in BME's QOD, but not much, and there was just a few experiences written about this piercing (luckily some of them were really good!), so I thought I should try to help others that are in the same situation now as I was by submitting my own story.
At A Glance Author cult Contact cult@bme.anon When A week ago Artist me Studio at home I decided that I was ready for my first genital piercing a month ago. I didn't really know what kind I wanted. To be honest, I don't really like the appearance of my genitals, and that's pretty much why I haven't considered genital piercing until now. I don't know why I changed my mind just now, it just suddenly felt so right, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Since I'm pretty self concerned, going to a piercer to get this done was out of the question, I had to do it myself. At first I didn't know witch piercing I would get. I didn't want any standard labia piercing, and I didn't think I could do a hood piercing on myself. At last, I chose between a fourchette and a christina, and the fourchette seemed so much easier to do so that was my final choice.
I did my researched and ordered clamps and a 12 gauge curved barbell. I finally got everything a week later and then prepared myself for the procedure. I live with my mom, this was in the middle of the night so I had to keep quite, this wasn't anything I wanted her to now about at all.
I washed my hands and the jewelry with soap, yeah I know that it should be autoclaved but I didn't think it was that important, nothing that my body couldn't handle. I went into my room, sat on my bed, put a towel underneath me in case it would bleed and then placed a mirror between my legs (yeah that's kind of necessary if you're doing a fourchette on yourself haha). I tried to feel the area with my fingers and decide what placement should be the best, as far in as possible. I made a little dot, felt again, and decided it was perfect.
Next came the clamps. I tried to put them on but it was too painful. I couldn't get them straight, neither deep enough for me to be able to pierce at the placement I'd chosen. The clamps just wouldn't do it, so I decided to skip them. I found an old wine cork to use instead, and cut it into a reasonable size. I tried to push the cork a little bit inside my vagina, but it was hard and uncomfortable, so I put some lotion on it and in it went.
Now to the worst part, the needle. I tried to find the best angle for the piercing and then pushed the needle through the skin. It was really hard and somewhat painful (but not nearly as painful as I'd expected). I pushed and pushed but couldn't see how far the needle had gotten when the end of it was inside of the cork. Was it all through? I removed the cork and was relieved to see that it was.
So there I was with a big needle inside of my vagina. What to do now? I actually somewhat panicked at this point. It was time for the jewelry and I didn't now how to get it in. What if I lost the hole? Would I be able to go through this whole procedure again? I looked at the 12ga needle and the 12ga jewelry and decided that I wouldn't take the risk of anything going wrong here. I had a 14ga curved barbell next to me and I could use it instead of the 12ga. But I was a little bit uncomfortable with that size, I had read that a fourchette shouldn't be pierced with anything smaller than 10ga, and since fourchettes can be so prone to rejection I was a little bit worried, but felt like I didn't have a choice.
I could insert the 14ga barbell with the needle so that wasn't a problem at all. It then started to bleed a bit, and I had gotten really wet during the procedure (1. sorry for being graphic, 2. why is that really? I wasn't sexually aroused in any way, and it has happened to me at other times when being pierced). I had all this different body fluids all over me, and that isn't the best condition you want to be in when you try to put the ball on the barbell. So that took awhile. Everything was so slippery. But finally I succeed and my fourchette was done!
I went to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. All the pain was gone, and has been since, except if I accidentally hit the barbell with toilet paper or sit in any weird position. It has now been two weeks since I got it. It's healing fine! I can't see any signs of migration or rejection, it's just so beautiful.
I'll stretch it to 8 or 6ga when it's healed completely. I'll try to take the time to write a new experience later on, when everything settled and I've gotten to know my fourchette a little better. And the sex, that's what everybody wants to know about, right? I tell you when I know, okay ;-)
