I had gone to bed the night before, knowing that I had to get and go to work in the morning, and then afterwards I was going in to get my Christina Piercing. The day started off really, really bad. I woke up late, and realized that I had missed work entirely. I was kind of stressed out by this, but I still wanted to get my Christina done.
I had a slow, warm shower, to relive myself of the stress and to shave my entire pubic region . Then I finished getting ready for my day. Then I headed over to Fantasy Island to see Sheena.
I had told her I wanted a Christina done a few weeks before, so she wasn't surprised when I came in and told her I wanted it done that day. We talked for awhile, and she showed me the 0 gauge tunnels I had ordered for my ears. Then I left Fantasy Island to go to McDonalds to eat, and go home to change.
I arrived back at Fantasy Island about an hour later. I sat outside on the porch in the sun for a bit, talking to Shane and Amy, while I waited for Sheena to finish talking to a customer. When she was done, we went in the back, and she set everything up. She stretched my ears for me first, and then She made Dave leave the room, and made sure no one else would come into the back, besides her and Amy.
Then we were ready to pierce.
The Piercing - Thursday May 8, 2003
Sheena put on a pair of gloves, then she sprayed her station with a sterilization agent and laid down a dentists bib. She got out a 14g Needle, a 14g PTFE barbell, a pen for marking and alcohol Wipes. Then she changed her gloves again. I laid down on the table, and she wiped down "the area", and marked the entrance and exit points for the needle. I got up and checked them in the mirror. They were perfect, so I laid back down on the table and we were all ready to begin.
She used clamps to pull the skin together for the piercing, they caused minor discomfort, but it wasn't bad at all. She placed the needle against the bottom marking, and told me to take a deep breath in and out, and then a second deep breath in. On the second deep breath she pushed the needle through.
It was fairly painful, as it is a deep piercing, in a sensitive region. The pain is completely worth it though. I took another deep breath to recover from the pain, and Sheena had Amy hold the clamps for her while she inserted the jewelery. I am not going to lie, because the PTFE barbell is flexible, it is somewhat difficult and painful to insert. It took a little longer to get the barbell through then it did to pierce it initially, but it wasn't bad at all.
Sheena then cut the PTFE barbell down to size with scissors, I have to admit this part somewhat freaked me out, but it didn't hurt at all. Then she screwed on the pink jewelled beads (which are insertion grade), and I got up to look at it in the mirror. It looks really awesome, totally worth any of the pain involved.
Healing
Day One
It has been about 5 hours since I got my piercing. As soon as I got home, I changed into comfortable cotton underwear, and my jogging pants. There is no pain to speak of. I didn't even really hurt all that bad when I caught it on my underwear. If I sit certain ways I can feel the barbell move, but it doesn't really hurt, rather than being semi-uncomfortable.
I wiped off the tiny bit of blood surrounding the upper hole of piercing using a q-tip soaked in distilled witch hazel. I changed my sheets before I went to bed, so it would be very clean, and not cause any infections. I cleaned the piercing again before I went to bed with distilled witch hazel.
Day Two
Sleeping was not affected at all by the presence of my new Christina piercing. In the morning I cleaned the area with distilled witch hazel, there was a bit of dried blood below the bottom ball which cleaned up easily. I cleaned the top ball three times today, and the bottom ball twice. The bottom part of the piercing I am treating like it is a genital piercing, and the top part of the piercing I am treating more like a navel piercing.
Some things I have noticed is that when I stand up the ball gets caught in the fly of my jeans and tugs a little, this only causes minor discomfort, and ceased to be a problem when I changed from my silk underwear into tight fitting cotton undies. Another thing that I have to be careful of is when I am wiping after urinating to be very gentle, because otherwise the skin in the area moves a lot and creates an uncomfortable pulling sensation.
In the bath tonight I noticed that there is minor bruising surrounding the top hole. Its quite red, but not irritated at all. I cleaned the piercing with witch hazel again after the bath, to avoid any unwanted contamination from the bath water. Now I am wearing just freshly washed jogging pants to allow the piercing to breathe.
Day Ten
Changed the top ball to a smaller ball to prevent it from getting caught on my pants on around day 3. This turned out to be a big mistake because the smaller ball was essentially "swallowed" by my skin. This caused some really horrible pain, as I had to push on the bottom ball, to force the top ball out of the skin, which had partially healed over it. I do believe that if I had not changed the ball that I wouldn't have had any problems with my skin swallowing the ball.
Day Thirteen
This morning I woke up and examined my piercing, and realized that the top hole had grown quite large, and was still bruised because of the ball swallowing incident. I sat down and thought about my choices. I could either keep the piercing, and nurse it back to health. Or retire the piercing to prevent the chance of infection or a large scar. I decided on the latter, and took out the piercing. I showered to clean the area immediately after removing the piercing. The bottom hole had healed over within an hour, and the top hole has almost completely closed up 12 hours later, but is still a little red.

It has been a couple months now since I removed my Christina, and all I am left with is a tiny pink scar. It is pretty much unnoticeable, expect to those who are actually looking for it.
Afterthoughts
I do not regret getting my christina piercing. It was an awesome experience and it looked really great. I knew before I got it pierced that there was a high rejection rate, and I never planned on keeping it for a long time. I did it more for the experience and it was definitely a good one. I'd recommend anyone who would love a really beautiful genital piercing to get a christina.
