Ok, well to start off with I decided long ago that I wanted to get a female genital piercing or a few....(turns out this was the start of my genital project wich currently includes 4 inner labia and the christina and will include shortly a total of 8 inner labia, triangle, and forchette) For whatever reasons that may be I turned 18 thought about it, put it off, thought about it, put it off, but was never really serious, or maybe I wasn't really ready. After losing over 50 lbs I decided I was ready, it's amazing what a little extra self esteem can cause you to do.

So, one day browsing the internet I came across Christina piercings, so I did my research, decided that this is what I was going to start with and I definitly wanted it done with a surface bar, in hopes of actually being able to keep it, everyone I talked to in the piercing community had some horror story of someone they knew that had this piercing and it rejected, it was rather disheartening. But I figured I would give it a try anyway.

I stopped into Cloud 9 with my friend Kathy to get both my tregus pierced, Jim had also done my monroe, I liked him, he was professional, and he seemed to know what he was doing. I asked the question, "You use suface bars for christinas?" his reply was always and right then I knew what my next piercing was going to be. Whoohoo!

About a month later, Kathy and I went down there to get pierced, she was getting a surface piercing done on her chest and myself the christina. Jim took one look at us after we told him what we were getting done, told Kathy her's was going to hurt, and told me that mine was going to be torture....... great.

I went first into the work area, the curtians pulled closed so that no one else could see, but let me tell you everyone else could hear what was going on. We talked for a bit mostly he was trying to get me less nervous, not only was I having to expose myself, I was having a needle shoved through my crotch!

I layed down on my back, didn't have to have my legs spread or anything cuz it was the pubic mound and not the actual "junk" this made it alot easier. He posistioned the clamps and said outloud "ok clamps" and I heard a room full of people behind me giggle. As usual I started my deep breathing, and just let him pierce on an exhale.

When that needle went in, oh gawd it was bad, it was a long deep pinch followed by a strong burning feeling, my ears burned, my face burned, and I saw a single spot of black. All this happened in the time that it took me to say "Oh Fuh" I didn't even get the whole swear word out. And then I hear a room full of people break out in laughter and applause behind the curtain... ug. But, everything was fine, it didn't hurt anymore, the jewelery didn't even bother me to be inserted, there was no blood, I pulled my skirt back down, put my panties back on, and could walk just fine. I couldn't stop smiling.

The 1st week or 2 it was very sore, wearing jeans was impossible, I found that dickies or skirts worked best, there was alot and I mean alot of lymph for the 1st few weeks. Turning to look over my shoulder while driving was rather painful, as was going up and down stairs.

The 3rd and 4th week it was acting just fine, and just resembled any normal healing piercing. And I could do everything like normal without even noticing the piercing. Jeans were fine too.

However shaving around a christina is a bit tricky, I fould that nose hair trimmers worked really good for the 1st month when I was affraid to get to close to the holes with a razor, now that it's been almost 5 months, I use noxema bikini razors, they are tiny razors that let you get right next to the holes you just have to be careful

Actually the 1st 3 months were just perfect.

However I did have one complication, the bottom hole started to get very red and swollen, I decided I'd go see Jim about it a week after the salt soaks were not helping this weird lump, the morning I'm going up there I wake up with this nasty white head just over the bottom hole, I soaked it in hot water untill it popped and when to see Jim that evening, he informed me that I have an ingrown hair and that I need to get it out of there. Back home to soak the piercing for about 30 minutes, then there it is the hair barely sticking out, so I yanked it out with tweezers and now my Christina is back to normal and has been for the past month. After everything I read, I didn't even prepare myself for an ingrown hair, nothing was ever mentioned about it in anything.

Now it's almost 5 months, and it seems to be doing just fine once again, the bar is just as deep as it was the 1st day I got it pierced, and sex is only inturpted if he's on top too much, every other posistion it doesn't even get bothered.

I clean it with just sea salt soaks, only soap that's used is whatever runs off from my body wash. I baby this piercing doing 2 soaks a day for 15 minutes each, always right when I get out of the shower, dixie cups are the perfect size for making a seal around the piercing too.

On a pain scale from 1-10 i'd give this piercing a 12, but it was only a 12 for as long as it takes you to say "oh fuh" and then it's somewhere around a 2. Definitly worth it, it's so pretty! I think it's one of my most attractive piercings.

Good luck!
