After I had my vertical clit hood done last year I thought it's high time I go a step further and have my inner labias done - I heard it often hurts more and takes a bit longer to heal than a clit hood piercing, also that it can be a tad more uncomfortable during healing.

I didn't want to go alone this time and asked if some friend could accompany me, and someone kindly offered herself to hold my hands during the piercing procedure.
2 weeks later on said Friday I started to become nervous, I remembered very well how much my clit hood piercing had hurt - a lot! This time I'd be prepared for the pain, but that didn't make it easier for me (on the contrary)
Met my friend outside directly at Cold Steel and had to wait 10 minutes until everything was ready, I filled in the usual form and paid the price for a set of inner labia piercings - they kindly knocked 10 pounds off the price because I'm a regular. I was really nervous by then and had thoughts of just running away, on the other side I really wanted to go through this. They are my 8th and 9th proper piercing (lobes don't count...) but it's still something rather big for me.
Julie fetched us for upstairs and my friend sat down in the room on the sofa. I sat on the bench, feet together and legs spread for a good view. Because one of my inner labias is tiny and the other one bigger she said she'd put one smaller and one bigger ring in.
After drawing on my labias and showing me in the mirror where she wanted to place the piercing I laid back, held tight on the bench whilst she clamped my labia. That didn't hurt, but the needle through the labia hurt - not as much as I thought it would be though. I cursed loudly but asked for the second one to be done as well - same procedure: clamp on, needle through after I breathed out. It didn't hurt as much as the other one, but I expected that - the small labia is thicker than the larger one. I didn't even bleed.
After she explained to me the healing procedure I jumped off the bench, put the knickers back on and walked out of the door with a huge grin on my face, full on endorphins. It literally only hurt when she pierced me and when the rings were put in, otherwise absolutely nothing.
My friend and me went to a cafe and met some friends, sitting down wasn't a problem, but I felt a little twinge every time I got up or sat down. Having a wee wasn't a problem either the first time.
However the next day when I had a wee it started to bleed, thick drops falling down. I put a pad in and it kept bleeding - Julie told me that it will bleed a little bit over the next days, so I wasn't worried. Every time I had a wee over the next days it bled and it hurt when I dabbed the area down or the rings knocked on each other (or I knocked on them accidentally)
I had baths in sea salt water every day for 20 minutes and after about 4 days the pain was gone, only a slight twitching when I didn't take care. As with my clit hood I put urine over them every time I went to the loo, but after two times I noticed that this was not necessary, simply because the wee ran over the piercings naturally anyway.
It's now over 2 weeks ago that I had the piercings done and it doesn't hurt at all, I'm still careful not to tug on them and my boyfriend is very careful when we have sex, but otherwise they're doing fine. In 4 weeks time I can downgrade the rings, although I feel that I could have had the normal sized rings in from the beginning - I didn't have any swelling at all.
In the end I have to say the healing was a bit more difficult than with my VCH, but it was well worth it. The no-sex-without-condoms rule is also a tad annoying, but better than having some sperm in your piercings, I guess.
I'm planning to have a second pair soon and looking forward to that! They don't do anything for me sexually, but they look gorgeous. I don't think more than 2 pairs will be possible on my labias, as much as I would want 3 pairs done. Would be very crowded downstairs as well.
