Well, genital piercings have always been interesting to me but the thought of someone poking a needle through my private area always turned my stomach. That is, until I got the courage to get my VCH, so after about a month of that healing I started to consider getting inner labial piercings. Being the same type of tissue as the hood I wasn't too nervous. So I decided to go for it. After looking at pictures and reading some stories I decided it's time, I wanted to start with one on each side, then after healing some get a second then a third on each side.

They gave me the pricing for getting it with barbells or rings, they always charge a little more with a bar. I filled out the paperwork and they checked my ID. Then I sat and waited for the piercer to finish with the client she was currently with. Once she was finished she came out and talked to me a little about what I want and which type of jewelry I wanted. She recommended starting with rings and showed me the size they generally do the piercing with. I agreed to start with a ring due to the fact that with my VCH after a few days I had some swelling and it pulled the top ball of the bar down into the piercing.
She took my payment and then went back into the room to get it cleaned up, now she was ready for me. She went over the aftercare and healing process with me, answered all the questions I had. Now it was time to drop my pants and get on the table. She cleaned me off and said if I wanted I could go one size larger in diameter than what they usually use because my inner labia's are a bit larger than average, but she still recommended the smaller ones since I already knew I want to add more later and with smaller ones they won't hit each other as much. So, what she did was clipped the smaller ones on and let me look at it to see if I was happy with the placement and size. I told her I think I wanted to go with the larger rings so she clipped those on and let me have another look, and I loved them. She explained how and why she would stagger them just a little so they don't push right up against each other.
So now I was ready. She marked the spots with the rings still clipped on so the placement would be the same. Then after removing the rings she told me she was going to put the clamp on the first one and that most people usually find this to be the most uncomfortable part. She got me clamped and told me it was going to pinch just a little bit more, I felt the pinch which wasn't bad at all, and the first one was through. Time to put the ring in, that I didn't feel at all. Now on to the second one, she put the clamp on, and put the needle through. The second one was a bit more painful than the first but nothing real bad, and very quick, once the needle was through the pain was gone. She put the second ring in and let me have a look. I loved them so much! She told me how good they looked and that they went really well with my hood piercing. She said they recommend keeping the initial jewelry in for 3 months before changing it but I could get the balls changed at anytime before then if I wanted to go with a different color or anything.
I was finished, so got up to put my pants back on, she went on cleaning up while I got dressed. I dropped a tip in the jar and was good to go. She gave me her card, an aftercare sheet, and a bottle of cleaning solution they include with the piercings, and told me if I have any questions or concerns at all not to hesitate to call.
It's now three days later, I had minimal bleeding for the first 24 hours. I've been pretty swollen and sore for a couple days now but Ibuprofen helps the pain and reduces the swelling a little. They also said if I want to I can put something cold on it, bag of ice or a cold can of soda, and that would help with the swelling as well but that it's nothing to worry about it. With friction from walking and such a bit of swelling and discomfort is completely normal.
I love my new piercings and the soreness and swelling, in my opinion, is totally worth it. And for anyone in the area Kaleidoscope is a VERY clean and relaxing environment. They are always good at making me feel comfortable and at ease. Once the swelling has gone down I plan to go back for the second set, then the third.
