This is my first time writing a piercing experience for BME so here goes...
At A Glance Author Laurie Contact Laurie@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Amy Studio Tribal Voice Location Plymouth, UK I got a VCH and a pair of inner Labia rings in August last year ( Labia now at 4mm) as a 24th birthday present from darling Husband – talk about the best gift ever, anyway that is another experience... Ever since then I have had that 'itch' of wanting more 'down there' I love they way they look – and function VCH ;-b – but felt there needed to be more.
I had been thinking about getting another set of rings higher up on the labia – the 1st set are in the middle, but had never got around to booking an appointment, Also I was without a studio as I was very unhappy with the attitude and general cleanliness of the place I had had the 1st set and VCH done and would not go back so I also had to find a new studio that I felt comfortable and safe with!
I had gone into Tribal Voice to get the set of 4mm bcrs (cbrs) and got chatting with the girl behind the counter –Amy- who was new there and was the new piercer. We got chatting about where the rings were for and she said she was still training and needed to perform some more female genital piercings. This set my mind going!
We chatted some more and I liked her. She was friendly, confident and bubbly- the type of person I would like to be putting needles in me! Plus it would help her reach her target of piercings for her training. I was more than comfortable with her performing a pair of inner labia and a horizontal hood- both fairly straight forward, obviously there is no way I would be going near a triangle! Which is the next piercing on my wish list!
I had left it that I would phone to make an appointment, as I was on 'the blob' at the time and didn't fancy having to deal with new piercings as well! So I rang the following week and booked an appointment for Thursday (yesterday) as I was already going to be in the city and it is a fair distance from where I lived so it seemed an ideal time.
I made sure I had eaten breakfast and later had a cake (yummy yummy yummy!) to make sure my blood sugar would be good, and had packed my bag with some cookies and a can of coke for afterwards to make sure I didn't whitey! I remembered to pack pants, a pad (I bled quite heavily after my VCH) and the balls from my 4mm bcrs that I couldn't fit for the life of me, and a longer bar for my VCH to allow for swelling after the horizontal hood.
I arrived on time and after a quick chat about what I wanted, we filled out the forms and went into the piercing room. I pulled my skirt up and hopped up onto the bed, everything was spotless and tidy, and then got down again to wash my hands and back up! I changed the bar in VCH and then we had a joint effort getting the balls in 4mm rings, Amy did the pliers and I popped the balls in- it was a great team effort! Then we got to the poking and prodding finding placement, and making sure no big veins and whatever there. I asked if she was going to pierce for 1.6mm rings or 2mm or whatever, she said 1.6mm which was fine by me- from reading experiences here I know the general feeling is the bigger the better for healing etc, but my other 3 healed just fine with 1.6mm so I was happy to do the same again. She showed me the jewellery still in the autoclave pouches, and needles in their packets etc, grabbed the clamps and we were good to go!
On my 1st visit there I had discussed that with my 1st set of inner labia's they were clamped together and pierced in one go, then separated on the cannula one ring inserted then pulled through more and the other ring inserted which was great as it meant they lined up perfectly and I got 2 beautiful rings for only 1 needle! Amy thought this was a great idea too, so pulled my labia together, placed them where we had decided, double checked with the torch, I sat back and did a few deep breaths to get ready, feet soles together, knees on table, I was relaxed but needed to be conscious of my body so I didn't clamp her in my knees! Amy asked me to let her know when I was ready, I counted 2 more breaths then said 'yep, whenever now'. She put the needle through, very very little pain, much less than last time, it felt just a pinch then nothing. The 1st ring was in very easily, no pain, the second was a little more uncomfortable but nowhere near painful! Once the rings were in it felt like nothing had happened, no stinging no nothing, just like normal. Then she went on to pierce my horizontal hood- but that as they say is another ~(very happy) story!
After taking some photos and getting all girly and excited about how cool they looked and getting the aftercare advice we went back out into the shop with massive grins on our faces! We showed the girl behind the counter the photos! I paid and tried to tip, as I was so happy with the whole experience and Amy did a fab job, but she wouldn't accept and said we would all have to go out on the town one night which will be cool! I could walk no problem, even without looking like a cowboy! Went outside and drank my coke! I called my Husband who came in to pick me up and he couldn't wait to see them- although I think he is a little less keen, the month off sex is his down side- but hey the girl has a mouth! ;-0
I slept fine and today they are no problem at all- even to pee- I just have to remember to pat not wipe! There is little swelling and things look good down there! I am taking arnica for the next day or so just to minimise any bruising!
I really want to pass on my recommendation for Amy at Tribal Voice in Plymouth (Devon!) It has been a fantastic experience all round and she really made it that way for me. My bits look more beautiful and I can't wait to try them out!
