I read most of the stories on self piercing. At that time I still wasnt sure that I could go through with it. I was afraid that it would hurt really bad. I needed to figure out a way to numb the area. I tried ice and it was way to cold but I tried to bear with it. After holding the ice on threre for quite a while and it wasnt even numbed.
I looked in the BME shop. I was going to buy numbing stuff from there but i wanted it done right now. I get really impatient. When I decide that I want something I want it right now. I didnt want to wait for it to be shipped, because in my eyes that would take way to long.
I drove to a local convenience store to look for anything that would numb an area of skin. All I could find was ultra orajel. I didnt know if that would work or not, so i bought it anyway.
I got home a decided to read the back of the package, I probably should have done this before i bought it. I read everything on the back of the package and everything on the tube( just to make sure they said the exact same thing. They did not say to not use on or around genital areas. At that point I started to get a little nervous. Because I wasnt sure if it would really hurt or just sting.
I have two hollow 16 gauge needles. But for the area that I was piercing that seemed a little intimidating. I started thinking about what else i could use. I found two piercing studs, and since i didnt want them to be a big gauge I decided to use those. I also have two 18 gauge CBR's. I decided that those would be cute. I cleaned and sterilized everything. Since I was doing this myself I opted not to wear the gloves, I just washed my hands really good.
The actual piercing
I decided that I was going to do it in the bathroom, because it had the best lighting. I started to get really nervous and almost decided not to do it. But then I remembered how cute they looked on BME. So I applied the orajel to both sides of my left inner labia first, it kinda stung. But I expected that much since it wasnt even for that area. I had a ciggarette while I was waiting to make sure that it was completely numb. When I was done smoking, I got the first piercing stud ready. I started pushing and I had no trouble with it going through the first layer of skin. It went through fine until I got to the second layer of skin. That is were I had the most trouble. I had to push on the piercing stud really hard, and if you have ever done this or tried to do it you know that you are in a pretty awkward position. So I kept on pushing then there was a loud POP. Then I knew that it had went all the way through. I put the back on the stud and left it there.
I was ready to do the right inner labia now. I applied the orajel. Again it stung it stung a little but it wasnt unbearable or anything. I had another ciggarette while I was waiting on it to get numb. I got the other piercing stud ready. I didnt really have any trouble with this one. It went right through. I put the back on it. I just sat there for a while admiring my new piercings.
I loved them. I decided that I was going to leave the piecing studs in for a day or two before I would put the CBR's in.
Fastforward to the next day
I went to the bathroom again this time determined to get the CBR's in. I took the left one out first then I slid the ring right in. I at least expected for there to be a little trouble. But there was none. The hardest part was getting the stupid balls on. It probably took me all of 10 minutes to get it on. Then it was time for the right one, again I had no trouble getting it in. Again the only thing I had touble with was the damn ball, but I did get this one on quicker than the first one.
I am now completely satisfied with my 2 little inner labia piercings.
To anyone who is considering doing this I highly recommend it.
Just make sure you clean everything properly, and you might want to wear gloves. I didnt because they dont allow me to get a good enough grip. Oh and try using orajel it actualy work pretty damn good.
Orajel is for the treatment of toothache pain and mouth sores and is really not suitable for use in genital areas.
