After experiencing several other body piercings, one day, I decided that I really really wanted to get a genital piercing. I asked friends if they knew anyone with one and searched BME for experiences and ideas, trying to figure out what would be best for me. I talked to my boyfriend endlessly about it as well. He was extremely helpful once he decided that it was a good idea. He wasn't thrilled about the idea of someone else getting to see me splayed open like that; however, when I told him that I planned on having Penelope pierce me, he relaxed and encouraged me to do it.

I decided that filing my major at college would be quite good and called about setting up an appointment. Lucky's doesn't set up appointments, they generally take first come first serve. So I asked when Penelope would be available and they told me her hours and answered all of my other questions very well. I had visited lucky's several times before and felt very sure about their cleanliness and adequacy to produce beautiful body modifications.
Anyway I made plans with my friends who also were filing and excited for me and my new piercing! I wasn't sure about the ride home and how comfortable I would be so I decided on a loose skirt and my not-so-favorite underwear incase of any bleeding which might occur. So we arrived at Lucky's and I went up to the counter, told Rob- my second favorite employee at Lucky's- that I wanted to get a piercing that day. He asked me what I had in mind and told him my inner labia. He said that was a good choice and we took care of the paper work while Penelope got her room ready. I had asked what my jewelry options were. I told Rob that I wanted a captive ring instead of a barbell so he showed me the surgical stainless steel rings that they had. Not very many options but then I didn't really want anything too fancy. The piercing itself is all of the decoration I wanted. I had asked about different beads for the captive bead ring, Penelope told me that some of the beads that the y had were made of materials that would react very very badly with urine and cause unbelievable irritation and discomfort. So that pretty well answered my questions and I looked at the pretty 14g surgical steel ring that I would soon be sitting on.
By the time she was ready for me I was very very excited, I mean my inner labia was a pretty exciting place to pierce, and I had heard all sorts of fun ideas for playtime that I wanted to try out when it healed. Penelope had me take my undies off and hike my skirt up and take a seat. I put my feet up in the stirrups and got really excited for my new piercing. Penelope asked me which side of my labia that I wanted to have piercing and I told her my right. I had decided that since my inner labia aren't symmetrical that decorating the smaller side would be cute. So she took the bead out of the ring and worked it onto my labia so that I could decide where I wanted it exactly. This is definitely the easiest way to figure this out. Moving the ring along my labia was probably one of the strangest sensations of my life actually seeing where the ring would be and how it would be angled and everything else was very nice. I had not expected such precision, but Penelope is great and knew that just marking me with a pen would not be good enough. The actual piercing procedure went smoothly and Penelope looked at me wide eyed and said, "Wow, you're tough!" because apparently I didn't move a muscle. I don't remember it hurting; I certainly felt it but any pain went away as soon as the piercing was done which of course only lasts a moment.
Anyway, that, plus the fact that I had a beautiful 14g captive ring in my labia put a huge smile on my face! I left feeling very excited and was oh so excited to show my boyfriend. He of course loved it and I've had nothing but good experiences with it since. It took about 1 week to heal which really surprised me. I had never ever had a piercing heal that quickly before and when I went back into Lucky's a week or more later, after it was healed, I told Penelope how surprised I was about the quick healing time. We both agreed that the quick healing time made genital piercings very appealing piercings which could get expensive very quickly! Ha. I would encourage any girl who has thought seriously about a labia piercing to do it.
