It all started the day after Christmas, when my boyfriend, Michael, and I went shopping and decided what to get each other (we're great procrastinators). I bought him the new Ludacris CD, and he promised me 5 new piercings. He's a professional piercer at MachineHeads tattoo shop here in Carlisle, PA and he has done all of my piercings in the past sixth months. My tongue, nipples, belly button, vertical and horizontal hood, and now my inner labia. The 5 piercings I've chosen for my present are my labia, vertical nipples, and another belly button. Eventually I plan to have 8 all the way around my belly button, since just one is so teenybopperish it's not even funny.

I finally couldn't take it anymore and called him up at work about an hour before he got off and begged him to pierce my labia. He finally agreed after I assured him that I wouldn't chicken out, and I drove myself there.
I have the worst track record of chickening out right before he pierces me, I freaked out about 5 times before I actually sat there and let him pierce my nipples. It's not that I don't want the piercing, I just can't stand the actual procedure. Pain is not cool. But now since he's in a shop, (he did my nipples and everything before that in home), I can't chicken out.
So, I walked into the shop, feeling just a little nervous, telling myself that it's my inner labia, it's not going to hurt as much as my hood or my nipples, so I'll be able to handle it, and I can't chicken out because he won't pierce me for a looonngg time if I do. Of course, he immediately blurts out to everyone that he's piercing my labia, and the tattoo artist started picking on us about how it's going to kill our sex life for the next two to three weeks. We just laughed, and went back to the piercing room. I took off my pants and he asked me where exactly I wanted it, how deep, so on and so forth, and set up. He started out telling me he was just going to do one, so I picked the left side and told him I wanted it in the middle, and middle depth. He clamped it and had me look at it to make sure, and I told him it was perfect. I sat back and covered my eyes so I couldn't peek, because if I saw that needle, I'd chicken out. The clamps were a little unconfortable, li ke always. He took his good old time lubing up the needle and lining it up, and then pushed it through with no warning. It burned more than it hurt, and it only lasted a split second. He put the ring in carefully, I couldn't even feel it. Then he asked if I wanted the other one, saying we might as well do it now. I agreed and he had me get the sterilization packet with a matching ring, then set up to do the next one. Same procedure again, except this one bled for a little while, and hurt a little more, definitely felt the ring going in, and Jamie, the tattoo artist, kept interrupting us and cracking jokes. Not too unbearable tho. The end result is definitely worth it. He cleaned up and I put my pants back on, no discomfort at all, and walked up front, where Jamie immediately said, "hurt, didn't it?" and I replied, "nah, just a little bit" I stuck around for about half an hour until closing time, and when we left, I expected driving to be a little difficult as it was with my hood, but I still couldn't feel a thing.
So far so good.. I expect it to heal quickly, like my hood. I did have one problem, when I went to the bathroom about 6 hours after having it done, I noticed a lot of really red blood on the toilet paper.. turns out I ripped the right side a little somehow, and it took Michael about 15 minutes to stop the bleeding and pronounce everything okay.
