As a little girl I decided I wanted my lobes pierced like my mother, so of course my parents, not knowing any better, took me to Claire's, age 3, to get them pierced with a gun. Later when my mother went through an avid ear piercing stage, she learned the horrors of these machines and shunning them, she became an advocator of needles. When my friends spoke about doing body modification, I was able to speak intelligently about keloids and salt water soaks just from what my mother told me. But since my experience with that gaudy pink store, I had not had any piercings.

Beginning at mild shock, it evolved to curiosity to consideration to finally, a decision. From the beginning I knew that I'd choose the VCH with a barbell as it nicely accents the female anatomy.
I had researched the procedure online for a bit and finally gotten to calling a couple of the three piercing places in town. One I was pretty sure specialized in mostly ears and facial piercings. The other one was somewhat new and the other had been around awhile. I called the new place first to check out how they performed it. The guy told me they used clamps and I had heard that clamps often were more painful than the piercing itself. The second place I called, Inner Reflections, told me that they used receiving tubes which made me more comfortable. Not to mention, the piercer was female which to be honest, made me more comfortable.
One night after leaving my boyfriend's house I decided to walk downtown and check out the piercing studio firsthand. I walked in and began looking around and eventually I began talking to Brandy, the woman who was to do my piercing. I spoke about scheduling an appointment and she mentioned that she even did walk-ins and that she could even do me then if I wanted. That second I knew that I wanted to do it then and I ran to the bank to get some money and quickly came back. Brandy gave me the form and told me to clip my ID to the board she gave me. As I was filling it out, I got a phone call from my boyfriend. I had originally wanted him to be there but since it was a spur of the moment decision, I didn't want to make him feel obligated to come.
Even so, he ended up coming to meet me. He got there 15 minutes later and at that time, I discussed it a little with him. I wasn't nervous at all about the piercing, but the only thing that made me slightly hesitant was the no sex rule for 2 weeks, especially because my boyfriend had just returned from a trip and we hadn't had much time for us yet. I then spoke with Brandy again, about the reason for my reluctance. To my relief, she said that after 4-5 days I could check on the piercing and if it was doing okay, as long as we were in a position that didn't involve direct friction to my hood, we would be okay.
Upon hearing that, we walked into the piercing room. It was very clean and looked just like a doctor's office. I took off my pants and underwear and got up on the table. Brandy cleaned the area and slipped the receiving tube under my hood, which wasn't even that uncomfortable. She told me that I would take two breathes. In and out, in and out. And on the last 'out' she wanted me to force the air quickly out. My boyfriend stood next to me and held my hand. She instructed me to slowly take the first breath. In. Out. Then the second. In. OUT! And I pushed the breath of air out from my lungs at the same moment she pierced me. The pain was over before I knew it and I had barely gasped. After that moment, the piercing caused me no pain whatsoever.
Brandy instructed me to use the H2Ocean as an aftercare plan. H2Ocean is basically a salt water spray that you apply every 4-6 hours or so. It made things very easy and my piercing healed in just about 2 weeks. My piercing cost $60 at Inner Reflections and the H2Ocean was $8.50 if I remember correctly. It was a very comfortable experience and I'm very fortunate to have had everything go just as smoothly as it did. If I was to get another piercing, I would definitely go back to the studio as I was very pleased with the procedure.
I've had it about 3 months now. To be honest, I don't actually notice much of a difference with stimulation of my VCH, but I love it anyway. My boyfriend likes it too and has complimented me heavily on it. Even if it doesn't make a difference with intercourse or masturbation, it still looks great and I wouldn't have it any other way.
