For years now, I have long been a fan of piercing. After filling up my ears with rings and a couple of facial piercings, I decided that the next piercing I was going to get was going to be something different. The problem was choosing exactly what. I had been debating getting my hood pierced, but it was always a matter of courage, or lack there of. While I love the process of getting pierced I had always been a little weary of pain, especially in such a sensitive area. Then a couple of days ago some friends came to visit from Florida, and had wanted to get a tattoo while they were in town. After they didn't find any designs they wanted to get at the tattoo place I usually get pierced at, they came over to my boyfriend's house. There they told us about their lack of success with the tattoos, when my boyfriend suddenly got the idea that this was the moment that I should get pierced.

I got a little rush of adrenaline and agreed, and he grabbed the keys to the car. We drove to the tattoo place, where the piercer had done my boyfriend's tattoo and a couple of my piercings. We got there about a half hour before the shop closed, just as I had when I got my Monroe done on a whim there a year before. Luckily, Eric was still there and didn't have a problem piercing me that night. They had a dentist-like chair that reclined in the room, so it was somewhat comfortable during the scary experience. By this time, my adrenaline had been replaced with the nervous excitement I usually feel before a piercing. I relaxed back in the chair, took off my pants (I had worn jeans there due to the freezing Michigan spring weather), and begin to psych myself up. I was there with my boyfriend and another lady friend, who had the piercing herself and was a major component in my decision to get mine done. My lady friend held both my hands above my head, and Eric had my boyfriend put on gloves to help hold the area open. He cleaned it out, and put the clamp on.

Before getting it done, I hadn't researched much about the piercing so I was surprised at the discomfort of the clamp and place where Eric put it. He told me to take a deep breath, and not to flinch. I usually don't flinch when getting pierced, so I didn't really think it would be a problem. I also usually don't make any sound other than a little "Ooh" when getting pierced. This experience was something completely different. On my breath out, the needle went through and I never felt such a pain in my life. I actually screamed out loud, and I'm pretty sure there was a little flinching. After the needle went through, it was time for the jewelry. This was significantly less painful than the initial piercing, but there was still the uncontrollable "Dammit James, this better be worth it! OW!"

After the jewelry was in, the pain subsided a whole lot. I was able to put on my pants and walk around right after. I went to a bon fire later that night and was sitting on logs around a fire pit just fine. Going up and down stairs was a little challenging the day after, but the pain has been going away a little each day. I clean it once or twice a day in the shower with a little anti-bacterial soap and water, and haven't done any salt baths or anything like that. So far all is well. I think mine has been a little tender because it has been hard to avoid playing with it. It has been 4 days since I got it done, and I had my first orgasm with it today. It was amazing, and I feel like it makes the whole experience a lot longer and more intense.

All in all, I am totally content with my piercing. All it took was a moment of bravery, and it was over. I'm already beginning to see the benefits of my new beautiful piece of jewelry, and I'm sure that they will only be getting better as it starts to heal. Not only does it feel amazing, but it looks really nice too. I've been walking around with a smirk on my face for the past couple of days because of my new little secret, and the thought of it makes me happy and way excited at the same time. And then there have already been the nice little surprises of bumpy dirt roads and crossing your legs in a certain way. My new vertical hood piercing is quickly becoming my favorite, and I recommend it to anyone even thinking about it.
