I have been wanting to get my hood pierced ever since I first saw it on a woman in a porno back when I was 18. I thought it was so beautiful and I could imagine how much fun it would be to have one. Somehow even though I've been pierced several times,I couldn't get the courage to go get it done. I've thought about it off and on until recently it was all I thought about. So me being who I am I decided to start doing research on it. I searched about what the different piercings were, how they were performed, and everything. At this point I knew I was getting it done.
My next course of action was to find someone experienced to show my bits to. I did a search and came across BME and started looking around and learned that Scott Jania at Progressive Piercing in Chicago is one of the best piercers period. So I checked out his website www.chicagopiercing.com and looked at his work .So I called the store to see about coming in to get pierced, but to my dismay, Scott was out of town at a convention in Vegas. Boo!
Hood Day finally came. I had my best friend in the world with me for support. When we got to the shop all of a sudden I was nervous. I didn't think I could do it. So I made myself look busy by looking at jewelry. Scott appeared and I knew who he was right away from everyone's descriptions here. He asked if we need anything and my best friend blurts out,"She wants to get her hood pierced!!!" Gee,thanks. So I got up and started talking to Scott, and let me tell you, he is the greatest. I don't think I would have gotten the piercing if I had gone to anyone else. He was so professional and sweet and kind-he took me into the piercing room (very clean better than a doctor's office by the way) to check my anatomy- he told me I was very well suited for a vertical piercing and that I could also get a triangle if I wanted to. Turns out my genitals are perfectly symmetrical. Go figure.
I filled out paperwork, picked out my jewelry-10g pink barbell- I have to be different- and he put everything he needed to pierce me in the autoclave. Then it was time. We went into the room and i pulled my pants and panties off and Scott had me lay on my back with my legs hanging down on either side the table. He took me through a dry run of what he was going to do when he did the actual piercing. I just had to let him know when I was ready. Well I wasn't. Ready that is. But Scott is wonderful he let me take my time and even said to me that if i could get a tattoo on my inner wrist i could get this piercing. Finally I was ready-deep breath in and then out. I can honestly say that it really didn't hurt. It felt more like a pinch than anything. Scott was like, "you did really good!! You barely flinched!!" then he put the jewelry in. He handed me the mirror and I saw my cute little pink barbell down there. It looked great. I said, "I've got porno pussy!" Scott just laughed. He gave me some gauze to put in my underwear and went over the aftercare again.
Walking out of the shop and back to the parking garage was definitely an experience. I walked like I had been riding a horse. When I got home the gauze was soaked with blood but I had done alot of walking from the time I got pierced until I got home. Aftercare has been really easy. Scott told me to wash it with baby wash and to use common sense . He said not to twist it or touch it unnecessarily, to avoid sex for at least 2 weeks, and avoid contact with body fluids other than my own for 3 months. It's been 2 weeks since I've gotten my vertical hood, and I must say I love it. It looks great and it is healing quite nicely.
Bottom line, Scott is everything you could want in a piercer - professional, knowledgeable, courteous, patient, and kind . I am going back to get my nipples done, and I'll let Scott take pics of my hood for his portfolio. So if you're looking at his work, I'm the one with the pink barbell! I'll have more about the nipples once they are done as well as when I go get my triangle eventually. I'll even post my pics once I get them taken.
