Today I had a vertical clit hood piercing for my birthday.

I just hadn't got round to actually doing it. I did a bit of research on BME and checked out the best places to get pierced and was recommended to go to Chrome Inc. As my birthday was only just round the corner, I decided to go for it and have it as a present to myself. So after telling my fiancee that I wanted to get it done (and him being excited about the prospect of having a girlfriend with pierced genitals) I booked in to have the piercing on my birthday.
The night before I went to bed eagerly awaiting the appointment the next day, I even dreamed about getting the VCH, but that it had gone wrong and I wasn't happy with it. This set me on edge about it a bit, my dreams are really vivid and can affect my mood for the whole day.
On my way to the studio I was a little nervous, mainly about the prospect of baring my nether-regions to a needle, and also exposing the self harm scars on my thighs (but that's another story).
I got to the studio and was greeted by Ed (the piercer) who was finishing a phone call with his Mum. I couldn't help laughing at the frank way he was talking to his Mum, swearing and cussing and talking about selling her for some camels and goats! It put me at ease straight away.
I signed the form and went into the piercing room and after a bit of idle banter and preparation ( I heard all about some of the less hygenic candidates for genital piercing that had come to Ed - several women that he had to send away to shower - YUCK!) Ed instructed me to get my kit off and lay down on the table!
His manner was brill, chatting all the time and it didn't feel awkward at all! He did notice the scars on my legs (you couldn't really not notice them :S) but he was great about it and actually gave me some advice on how to help fade the scars by massaging Bio-Oil in to them. He then checked my anatomy over to make sure I was suitable, gladly I was an ideal candidate for a VCH. (Apparently my clit is very 'compact and bijou'!) He then sterilised the area and gave me a little metal squeezy stress toy to squeeze while he did the piercing, which it turns out I didn't really need. Before he put the needle through he asked if I was the sort to faint, and as I replied that I wasn't he put the needle through. (He did it freehand, which was good, I didn't really fancy having clamps down there!) It hurt quite a bit but only for about a second. I thought he was done, but the needle wasn't all the way through yet, he explained that there was just a little more to go, and then pushed the last bit through, which thankfully was less painful than the initial push. I also have ear lobe, nostril and lip piercings, this was the most painful as the needle went through but the least painful afterwards.
As soon as the needle was all the way through, the pain stopped completely, straight away and I almost forgot the initial pain had even happened at all. Ed put the jewellery in (a titanium curved barbell) very quickly and with no discomfort at all.
He then showed me his work with a mirror. I couldn't stop smiling - it was perfectly placed, just like I had hoped it would be, and looked pretty damn sweet, even if I do say so myself! The great thing is that my boyfriend really loves it, and he isn't really keen on my other piercings, in fact he'd really rather I didn't have them. He seemed so pleasantly surprised when he looked at the shiny bit of metal down there, I was chuffed to bits.
I had the piercing about 4 hours ago as I write this, walked 15 minutes into town after and did a bit of shopping and there is no pain at all, just a slight sensation of something down there, which there now is!
It really is a very pretty piercing and I'm looking forward to all the fun I will be able to have with it when it's healed up, which judging by the great quality of the piercing shouldn't be too long.

I would totally recommend the studio to anyone in Cardiff, and I will be going back soon for more piercings, hopefully some microdermals as well :)
