I had wanted a VCH for as long as I could remember but it seemed that every possible chance I had to get it done something was stopping me, so when I finally had two weeks off work I decided this would be the perfect time to get it done as there would be no reason not to.
At A Glance Author Anna Contact Anna@bme.anon When A week ago Prior to getting it done I must admit I was more scared about not being anatomically correct than baring all for someone or fearing the pain and even though I knew there was a very small chance of not being suitable for it I was still worried (having failed the Q-tip test, even though it was just by a little bit). I think it's just natural to worry like that though, in the back of my mind I knew it would be fine.
Arriving at the shop I was made to feel very relaxed and welcome which is always a nice experience. The piercer checked me over and told me I was perfect for it, much to my relief and began to get underway preparing for the piercing, showing me everything was packaged and sterile etc and just generally making me feel relaxed.
I'm not going to lie, it hurt, but as most people describe it, it hurt for about a second. Literally long enough for your brain to register the pain and then it's gone. It definately was not the worst piercing I've had in terms of pain, it feels like someone's pinched it hard but as I said, th pain goes so quickly you barely register it. It shouldn't be a reason to put anyone off getting it done as everyone's different and what one person might find as so painful, someone else might not feel anything at all. Plus it's over so quickly it's nothing to worry about at all. Inserting the jewellery was a little bit uncomfortable but by that point I was just happy to have had it done that I didn't really notice and then that was it. It was over.
Looking in the mirror at it I couldn't quite believe I had finally gotten it done and it's perfect. It was a bit of a mission bending down to put my shoes on afterwards but that soon goes. It's really more of you thinking "I don't want to damage this" more than it actually hurting a lot, it just stings when you bend down.
I must admit, I didn't really feel too much pleasure while walking normally but skipping onto pavements and stairs are definately more interesting now! If you're aware of it being there you can definately feel it but I don't really notice it now. Also, I'd advise you to take a panyliner with you in case you bleed a bit, which I did and spent a good few hours worrying in case there was enough to go through my jeans, which of course there wasn't and wear comfortable knickers, soft cotton ones.
It's a bit fragile at the moment when I go to sit down but I've learnt to sit down slowly and gently so that's not too much of a problem. Also, at first bending down was not fun at all. Neither was sitting with my legs closed, no matter what position but that's disappeared now. Also when the BCR (yes, BCR...I would have thought a barbell would have been more appropriate as that's what I've had with all my other piercings and really just knowledge on the subject but oh well) lies to the left in bed it gets a bit stingy/sore. Apart from that it's okay.
I started off doing weak sea salt soaks twice a day to keep it clean but it appears that my skin down there is a bit too sensitive so instead all I use now is warm water so I clean it gently in the shower and if it gets sore. It seems to be healing pretty well though thankfully. My piercer told me that urine is good for cleaning it too, which I guess does sound plausible due to all the nutrients of whatever that's in it but ew. I think I'll stick to water thanks! Plus I actually tried to bend forward to see if it could reach and I'm not so sure i can bend forward enough to reach it.
And yes, sex with it is a lot better, the pleasure is more intense and is there from the beginning, especially seeing as most of the activities you do during the day will leave you turned on anyway! Just make sure you're careful and gentle at first and it should be fine. This is definately not a piercing to miss out on, it's nice to have a secret that no one else knows about and it's amazing, it looks really nice and so far is very easy to clean!
