Around July 2006 I met the man I now call Master who introduced me to the BDSM lifestyle. While I started out a submissive, we quickly realized that I am indeed a slave. As things progressed we talked about me getting a mark of my slavery and his ownership over me. We discussed tattoos, brandings, and various piercings. And there is still talk of me eventually getting ink or a brand, but it is a ways down the line.

In March 2007 it was decided that I would get a vertical clit hood piercing done as my mark of slavery. I had never really considered getting a piercing or looked into it. I was nervous to say the least. So I started looking around at the different tattoo/piercing studios in the area. There were some large ones in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but I could never guarantee when I would get down there to get one done. This was particularly true when the roommate I had wanted to tag along all the time. I didn't want her to know what I was doing because I tend to be a very private person. I went into Body Illustrations to look at the place. I wanted to make sure it was clean and not "creepy" like some places I had been in with friends. And I'm not meaning all the wild and crazy tattoos on display (those are cool), I am talking about the creepy that makes you wonder if you'll contract a disease from just standing in there. But I had little to worry about. I talked with the owner of the studio and got more information on the piercing I wanted. I went home and did a lot of online research as well. I wanted to have as much knowledge as possible to not only prevent infection, but to ease my nerves as well.

In April I had the money to go get it done. I went one afternoon after work to the studio. I was able to go in and get it done immediately. There was a new girl working there and she was excited for me. She explained that she had a VCH done several years ago and she loved it. She also gave me a wink and grin and said her boyfriend loved it too. I couldn't help but smile back. She helped me pick out the jewelry I wanted as well as helped to calm me. I was very impressed with her openness and professionalism with me. Soon, the owner called me back. He had a little side area set up with some curtains to pull around. He had all the items laid out on a tray and I almost like I was going in for a medical exam. He explained to me what he was going to do, what I was going to feel, and to just relax. I was so nervous about dropping my pants and exposing myself to a complete stranger. His demeanor though and professionalism surpass many of the medical "professionals" I have ever met in my life.

He prepped my body for the piercing and made the mark and situated the receiving tube for the needle. He then asked if I was ready. I gave a nod and some weird whimpering sound (I had lost my voice because of nerves). He told me to relax and take a deep breath. When he told me to let it out I felt a sharp pinch and that was it. I did tense up when I felt the pinch. That was the moment it became "real" to me as to what I was doing. The ring actually tickled going through, which I did not expect. Afterwards he and the girl gave me instructions on how to clean it and care for it. As I left the shop I felt no soreness, but a fair amount of pleasure. Some of it was the endorphin rush caused by the piercing, and some was just caused by the piercing.

The piercing was easy to care for and healed in just over a week. There was very little blood and most of it was from just after the piercing was done. I wasn't even really sore the next day or so. I was just very tender. I just bought some Dial hand soap per the studio's instructions. The first couple washings stung and made me swear a fair amount, but it quickly passed. I made sure to wash it in the morning, and again in the evening. Given the nature of the job I had at the time I tended to get very sweaty and wanted to prevent an infection.

I love my slave mark and so does my Master. Not only is it a nice visual reminder to go with my collar, it is a physically pleasing one as well. The studio is small, but they do a lot of business with Brookings being a college town. It is clean, well lit, and well staffed. From the art on the walls (I was later informed over 90% were pictures or replicas of custom work done for clients) they do some amazing ink there as well. I would highly recommend Body Illustrations for anyone in the Eastern South Dakota area, and if I hadn't moved away I would probably go back there again.
