I used to think genital piercings were disgusting. I had never personally seen one, nor had I even seen a picture of one. I just had the thought "dirty" in my head when I thought of them.

Fast forward a few years. I was doing research for homework for college online and accidentally ran into a piercing page. I saw a picture of a VCH. My first instinct was to click away real quick, but I stopped... I thought it looked very cool. I looked up more pictures of VCH's. I really loved how it looked. I started doing research on VCH and different female genital piercings instead of my homework. It became an obsession.

I started thinking about the pictures I had seen as the weeks went on. I really wanted to get one, but I figured my husband would be completely against it. I casually brought it up to him one night. I got the "no way" response. Boo!! I brought it up again a few weeks later and just flat out told him I was getting it. He wanted to argue it at first, but then he started agreeing to it. He said the thought of me having a piercing "down there" would actually be a turn on. He said he was afraid it would hurt me or I would lose sensation down there though. I told him that I was only getting the clitoral hood pierced, so instead of decreasing sensation, it would enhance it. He told me he would leave it up to me and support me in whatever I decided to do. Then he told me just thinking about it was really turning him on though.

I started doing more research so I could be certain this is what I wanted and so I would know what to expect. I was really scared of what the pain would feel like, so I tried looking for stories of experiences to see how other people handled the pain. Some people said it hurt, some said it didn't hurt at all, and some said it hurt a little bit. Great...how would I know? I figured I would just have to figure it out myself.

A few days later, I made that long, exciting, scary drive to get my VCH. I was shaking when I walked into the tattoo shop. I asked if they had any female piercers and was introduced to a wonderful girl at the shop. I told her I wanted a VCH and she said they only do vertical hood piercings. I started laughing and told her that VCH is a vertical piercing. I'm not the type of person that says clitoral or clit out loud, so I was feeling super uncomfortable at this point. She told me she had hers done as well and had the same anxious, scared thoughts I did. She reminded me it would only "pinch" for a second and then I would love it. She made me feel at ease a little bit and had me sit in the waiting room while she set up.

I asked where the rest room was at so I could check myself before I exposed my privates to anyone else. I was so nervous I started to feel a little sick to my stomach. I took a few deep breaths and went and sat in the waiting room. Within a few minutes, she came out to get me.

Unfortunately, this particular tattoo shop didn't have private rooms, but there were short walls between each chair. She set a paper towel down on the chair, I dropped my pants and had a seat. I don't think anyone else could see what was going on. My legs were shaking and I was scared. The piercer was very nice and tried to ease my fears and calm me down a little bit. She explained what she was going to be doing and what I was going to feel. I admit I didn't watch. I felt some tugging that was a little uncomfortable. She then asked if I was ready and said to try not to jump. I felt the pinch, jumped a little bit, and it was over. I'll admit that the pinch hurt...but only for a second. It was over before I had a chance to think about it. And it didn't hurt when it was done. I walked out of the shop feeling like I had my own little sexy secret and couldn't wait to show my husband!! I drove home a little hesitant to bear all my weight on the seat, but eventually did and I couldn't feel any pain at all. I couldn't wait to go home and stare at my new jewelry.

My husband loves it. I wasn't comfortable having sex at first, but he still wanted to see it. He wanted to play with it so bad, but I had to keep him from touching. I did not want any sort of infection on that particular area. They said it would take 4 weeks to heal, but probably less. I think it was heeled in less than a week and I was really excited to try out my new "toy." Let's just say that it really does enhance sex. Orgasms are more intense. I am very, very happy I got this done. My husband is glad that I did it too. ;)
