I had a VCH done a few years ago, but had to remove it before the birth of my son, I had lamented this piercing and waited till I knew I wouldn't have any more children before getting it re-done. I spent a weekend before I was thinking of getting it done looking about on places finding out whether anyone in my local area did VCH's . It seems very few places that did so I extended my search and found a studio near to where I work that came very highly recommended, I'm glad I did as it really made the procedure go smoother, and left me feeling very confident about the Piercers abilities. After a swift email exchange with the studio and a quick call an appointment was made for the Tuesday evening after work.

The place was well maintained with some amazing artwork on the walls from the guys tattooing and an immaculately clean interior, it screamed of professionalism and reassured me in my choice. The guys there were open and friendly and booked me asking the relevant questions, and asked if I had any questions, although I have had it done before I still had a few queries, which he answered.
My other half had to wait outside with my bags and coat (for hygiene reasons) so I paid my £40 and went into a small room with a comfy table the kind you get in Dr's surgery, yet again still amazingly clean. The Piercer took his time to reassure me and we had a little chat about how I felt I wanted it done and went through the usual explaining about how different people suit the piercing in different ways.
While I prepared myself he was preparing the things he needed everything came out of the autoclave and sealed packets and latex gloves were donned, as was a facemask, which he nicely explained was for my hygiene, as he didn't want to breathe germs into such a sensitive area.
After de-panting and laying down legs akimbo Michael talked me through what he was going to do, in vast detail, he was very professional and made me feel completely at ease.... He checked the site to see if it would be suitable for piercing and cleaned the area..... I laid back and took deep breaths trying to relax as more the you relax the quicker any endorphins can take the pain away. Easier said then done
The clamps were a little bit uncomfortable but didn't hurt to be honest I didn't notice them going on I was expecting more of a pinch so when he said "your going to feel a pinch" I was expecting to feel the clamps tighten but noooooooooooo the needle went through, I said ouch as it hurt more than I was expecting it, too. I felt the needle pass through this time and at the time I was a little concerned but the pain passed quickly. All the time he was talking and keeping me reassured, which for me was wonderful, it really felt he cared about making sure it was a good experience for me.
A few deep breaths later it was done and then he stood back and got the clean sterilized jewelery to fit. And just a small pinch as he threaded the jewelery through and put the captive bead in....it was a bit more painful than I was expecting, last time I had a vertical piercing done this time he had done a horizontal... There was very little bleeding a the time, and he called my other half in to show him the placement and how it looked which made my other half very happy, and reassured me it was done well.
He gave me a full run down of cleaning and aftercare as I dressed and made sure I understood fully what the regime should be, and handed me some dressing to pop in my knickers in case it bled and some antibacterial wipes and sent me off with a smile on my face.
It stung a little as I got in the car to drive home but apart from hat it really didn't hurt much, and when I got home, it had started to bleed a little which has stopped now (day 3 of the piercing) but was never very bad. The cleaning is easy and doesn't hurt and there have been no issue 's what so ever, I am glad I have it done horizontally over the vertical as I think it looks far more pleasing. I can't wait till it is fully healed so I can try out to see if there are any new sensations. I have no hesitations on going back to that studio to get further work done.
