Every since I was 17 years old I had always thought having my clit hood pierced would be fun and sexy! I uses to stay up late nights and look up experiences and photos on varies websites and pages to get the general information and idea about vertical hood piercings. After several weeks of research I became obsessed with the great idea of getting my sexy hood piercing. After viewing several pictures of both vertical hood piercings and horizontal hood piercings..I felt that the vertical hood piercing would be the best for my clit. It seemed like the vertical hood barbell sat more naturally between the folds of skin on the clit. Well obviously I was still too young to go and get my beloved piercing done and my mom would NEVER sign for me to get THAT pierced. So I had to put the whole idea on hold. :(

One afternoon after class I decided it was the best time to go and get my pretty little hood pierced to perfection. At 2:00 sharp I walked into On the Edge tattoo and piercing shop downtown Findlay, Ohio. I poked around and looked at the flash on the walls and thumbed through one of the tattoo artist's portfolios. Dave asked me what I came in for that day. I was starting to get really scared about the whole idea of getting a hole pierced into precious little "woo". So I decided to get my tragus piercing in my ear tapered out to a 16 gauge. While I was in the back piercing room with Dave I became more and more comfortable with him because he was professional, funny, and above all really cute. So I mentioned the idea of getting my clit hood pierced vertically. He was stoked about the whole idea and told me he would be happy to do it for me.
Dave and I decided that it would be awesome to have him pierce my hood. Dave reassured me that it was a very simple and quick procedure that I wouldn't regret. I decided to run home and take another shower, just to be respectful and polite to Dave and because I still needed a little time to talk myself into the whole experience. After 45 minutes I returned to On the Edge, showered, shaved, and ready to go for it. Dave and I went back to the piercing room and he explained every single step he was going to perform and told me that he would be using a 16 gauge needle and jewelry. Letting me know everything up front, really helped me get over my nervous gut feeling. I asked him a few more questions about the healing time and precautions I would have to take after getting my piercing. Dave took the time to address and answer every single one of my "stupid" little questions and fears.
I dropped my skirt and got up on the table and spread eagle. I was a little worried but again Dave made me feel better and was very VERY PROFESSIONAL about the whole situation. He sterilized the needle, receiving tube, and 16 gauge barbell. He cleaned the area and felt around for the perfect spot to place the curved barbell.He marked where he felt the barbell would sit most comfortable and then showed me. He then placed the warm sterile receiving tube under my hood skin. He place the needle on the skin and told me to take a DEEP BREATH....OUCH! And that was it... I had my beautiful clit hood piercing.
I was amazing it didn't even hurt as much as I thought it would. Actually even right after Dave pierced it, it didn't hurt or was tender at all! I was really shocked that it was almost painless all together. Dave gave me a completely run down on cleaning and taking care of my hood piercing. He told me to clean it in the shower with anti- bacterial soap and to be careful when having sex.
I paid Dave $30 for the piercing and I left him a nice little something in his tip jar for being so wonderful. I couldn't wait to get home so I went into the bathroom in On the Edge and took pictures of it with my cell phone and sent it to my boyfriend and a few other friends.
Overall I had a wonderful experience with my clit hood piercing and the aftercare of it...I had sex later that night..and I must say the vertical clit hood piercing definitely added a little more SPICE...in the bedroom. If I had to do it all over again I would do it in a heartbeat!!!!! I love my vertical hood piercing, On the edge tattoo and piercing shop, and last but never least... Dave!!
