I was thinking of having my clit hood done for quite a while but I was always put off by the thought of the pain. Having had my nipples and septum done in the past 6 months - and having survived that - I thought I'll give it a try some time.

The past month was very exhausting at work and I was on the brink of a nervous breakdown for a few days (or maybe just hormonal...)

Anyway - my septum had healed fine and I thought it's time for new piercings. My choice were either two new lobes or a my clit hood.

I sat at work, busy as hell - when I thought: ok, I NEED new holes in my body, I need a distraction from work. I picked up the telephone and made an appointment for the next day after work at Cold Steel - they did my septum before and I liked the studio and the people in there.

I told the girl on the phone that I'm not sure yet what I'll be going for as I was still pondering if I wouldn't need more lobe piercings done anyway.

The next day I really wanted to have my clit hood done and thought: if I chicken out I can always have my lobes done instead. I confirmed my appointment an hour beforehand, saying that I'll be going for the clit hood.

When I got there I filled in the form, paid and after a few minutes she came to fetch me for the piercing. I went to a nice clean room, put off my knickers, pulled up my skirt and sat down on the bench. I was told that the initial jewellery would be a BCR as it's easier to heal for this piercing, and I was fine with that. I opted for a silver BCR as it just looks better than coloured BCRs in genital piercings.

I had to put my feet together and my legs apart, she cleaned the area and put dots on the spots where she wanted to place the piercing. She gave me a mirror to have a look and it looked fine. I wasn't even nervous, just curious how it will be.

Then I lied back, she told me to exhale and she pierced me. Now let me tell you - when I had my nostril done it hurt. Very much. I was just whimpering at that time. When I had my right nipple done just cursed a bit. The left nipple hurt much more, I cursed loud. The septum hurt, and I cursed. But I never shouted or screamed.

Until I had my clit hood pierced. I let out a scream and cursed like a builder - Jesus, that hurt! But only for one second. Not very ladylike, my cursing - I was told :) The pain was gone immediately, I stayed on the bench for one more minute and was fine after that. I could walk without feeling a thing and you couldn't wipe off my grin on the entire journey home on the tube. My initial jewellery is a BCR with a hematite ball.

When I got home I noticed that it had bled a little bit, and again during the night - but apart from the occasional twitching when I sat down too fast I haven't felt it at all since then. It was sore the first 4 days when I touched it.

For cleaning I only used my urine twice a day for the first 4 days, basically letting some urine flowing over the piercing. It stung a little bit in the beginning, but that was it. I cleaned it under the shower with normal water, not shaving my bits in order not to get shaving gel into the wound. Now it doesn't even hurt when I bump into it. I had a good look at it occasionally and never saw any crusts building up - no redness, no swelling, no bumps, nothing. It did hurt a bit when I was turning the ring around in the first few days, but even that I can't feel anymore now. Needless to say I only touch it when I have washed my hands thoroughly with antibacterial liquid soap!

At Cold Steel I was told that I have to wait 8 weeks until I can change the jewellery, which is the longest I have ever read about this particular piercing - and I read a lot! I want to change it for a bar as I don't really like the ring, but I'll leave it in for the full 8 weeks - you never know!

I can't wait to play with it now, and I'm planning on doing the horizontal clit hood too, plus inner labia piercings.
