A week ago I decided it was time for me to get a new piercing. I have my ears pierced a few times, and one small tattoo, and I didn't want to get a piercing that people could see. This left me with two options; getting my belly button done or something below the belt done. I decided the belly button ring was something 14yr olds get, and I wanted something more exciting and unusual than that. This left me with one option! I had always thought about getting my clit pierced, but I never thought I would ever go through with it. I did some online research and feel in love with the idea of getting the hood pierced. I had thought you could only get the actual clit pierced, so I was very pleased to find out that you could get something nearby pierced and not risk loosing sensitivity. Plus I thought that the vertical and horizontal hood rings looked really cute! I liked the look of the horizontal ones, but after doing some research I decided that the vertical one would feel much better.

I thought this would be really easy. Firstly I went to the place where I got my tattoo done, Four Roses, however this did not exist anymore. So then I drove to another place, and asked rather shyly if they did VCH piercings. I got a very blank look from a big scary guy with lots of tattoos, and had to explain that it was a clitoris piercing. He said that they did not do genital piercings, and that he didn't think anywhere in Adelaide did. He then suggested I would need to go interstate! I knew this was not true, as my friend had got a genital piercing at a place in Rundle St. So I then drove to a third place, Body Cult, on Rundle St. I already knew the lady who worked there (Sandi) so I was not that nervous about asking about genital piercings (it's a lot easier to ask a female than a big scary guy covered in tattoos!)
I was only slightly nervous about being half naked in front of the piercing lady, as I have been to the doctors many times before and you get used to it after a while. Plus I'm sure they've seen many people so there really is nothing to worry about. I was reassured to find out that Sandi does several of these per week, and also that by piercing upwards, there's no chance that you can damage your clitoris (I like that part of me way too much to even contemplate letting someone who doesn't know what they're doing putting a needle near there!)
I thought the rings were way cuter and hotter looking than the bar, but Sandi said that in order for it to heal properly it was best to start with a bar (so the scar tissue forms evenly and not just to one side). I was reluctant to get the bar, however if it heals faster then you can have sex earlier, so really it made complete sense! I decided that I would change it to a ring in a few weeks time, once it had healed. I had been worried that my hood was not large enough for a vertical piercing, and I was happy to find out that I was very well equipped for a VCH. By now I was extremely nervous, after seeing the dot where the piercing would be, and the needle that was about to go through my precious skin. I had read that the VCH did not hurt most people that much, and that it only lasted a few seconds. However I knew that it was likely that I would be one of the few people who would say it hurt worse than anything they had ever felt before. I decided to be tough and not use any pain relief like EMLA cream.
The actual receiving tube did not hurt all that much, however by this stage I was very nervous! The needle was an incredible piercing hot sensation, it hurt way more than my tattoo and other piercings. I pulled away a little as the needle was going through (I suppose that would be a normal reflex when a painful needle is going through your skin), but luckily the piercing was still straight. I loved the piercing instantly, I thought it was really cute. The pain was still quite bad a few minutes later, but after 5-10 minutes it was more like a pressure sensation. I put on my tight jeans (I had heard that some people found they couldn't wear tight jeans for a while, but they felt fine), handed over the money and found out the cleaning instructions.
That night I couldn't help but see if it felt any different touching myself, and it did feel much stronger than usual. Two days later I forgot I wasn't supposed to have sex for a while (I blame the alcohol), however it started to hurt a little, so I decided to stop rather than risk damaging it. It has now been a week, and I can't wait to have sex as it feels like it has almost healed. I hope sex feels better, as I'm one of those girls who have never had an orgasm through penetration alone. If it doesn't feel better, I still love the piercing, it looks so cute and hot, and it's so much fun!
I love the fact that I look fairly innocent since my only visible piercings are in my ears. A VCH is the last thing that anyone would suspect I have got done! It's such a naughty, sexy secret, and even if it doesn't make sex feel any better, I still love the fact I have a cute little bar (soon to be ring) in such an unexpected place!
