I have always wanted a piercing since the only one that I had ever had wa my ears and that was when I was like six years old, my mom wouldn't take me to get one so I had to wait until I was a legal age...that took a while! But when that time came could never come to a conclusion, plus I had gotten a great new job and didn't want to jepordize that because a piercing. So the obvious were the tounge, eyebrow, nose, monroe...all too simple, so the 'Horizontal Hood' was an option and I had made up my mind, this was the piercing I wanted. This was my desire! I couldn't wait for my eighteenth birthday, I looked up health information, and personal experciences on the internet just for my own knowledge. Finally the big day came. I woke up thinking about my new piercing I even went to work thinking about it! since it was my big eighteenth birthday the crew at work allowed me to get out of work early. So with all this anticipation built up I drove towards the tattoo shop, hesitating a little bit I drove around the block (what a waste of gas!) then made a stop at a local corner store and bought me a bottled water, for just in case I got light headed, (It happens) and continued my mission towards a new experience. My new body.

Alone and maybe a little scared just a little bit. I stepped towards the counter and so did one of the employees while greeting me, I told him "Hello, I'm interested in the Horizontal Hood piercing" trying to be a little discreet (there was a woman in their looking at different tattoo patterns). The man at the counter said "Okay that will be ___ "(sorry I forgot his name) and a different man approached me and I quickly and plainly explained to him which piercing I had in mind and had came for. He then pulled out a model of the female genitaila, showing me different types of piercings that could be done to this body part. WOW! I stuck to my first decision, the Horizontal, I chose my jewelry from the selection he gave me, a ring by the way. He then stressed to me the DO's and DON'Ts for the aftercare of the piercing.
Together we walked towards the back of the parlor in a secluded room, very private.I took off my pants and underwear behind this designated wall and wrapped myself in the white towel he gave me. I asked him not to let me see the 'tools' (the wrong word) he was going to use, or let me know what was going on. I layed back on the table hands over my eyes. I wanted it to be as if something that I woke up to and had no idea of what had happened the night before or how it got there, he agreed and found it very humorous.
We talked, he cleaned, sanitized, and checked to see if I had the right type of anatomy for the Horizontal Hood piercing all while I layed out on this table. Me not knowing what was going on was a real help, it eased my worries. Neat Huh?
He did his part with extreme caution but that is all I would be able to tell you, the rest as far as what he did which 'tools' he used I wouldn't be able to tell you what that was because I didn't want to know, remember? Sorry. All of a sudden he asked me to take deep breaths, and count at the same time...I found that quite difficult, but I did it. All of a sudden all I felt was a quick pain, it didn't hurt at all! I think that was because I was trying to count and breathe correctly at the same time (I would rather get this piercing done than go to the dentist!)
TA-DAH! it was done! I was surprised I thought that I it would have been UNbearable or atleast sore but nothing either way I was relieved it was OVER! He handed me a mirror I looked and I was in AW!... I fell in love. So I thanked him and walked out (straight by the way didn't even bother me!) I was so excited I just wanted to tell every one and show any one that didn't believe me!
I LOVE my new Horizontal Hood piercing and if you want to try something new I say go for it!
I don't regret it.
