So...the saga continues. My fight for the perfect genital mod. Vertical clitoral hood, check. Tried it for awhile and it just didn't work out. Triangle, check. This turned out to be a nightmare from the very first. I had put my vch back in for the 10 billionth time and it loosened up almost immediately. I was tired of the continual struggle. I removed it for the very last time. My bad experience with my first triangle had kept me gun-shy for quite some time, but I was ready to try it again. I had my vch out for a few weeks and well, I was really starting to feel odd without a little bit of metal in my bits. Out of balance almost.
At A Glance Author BagosBabe Contact BagosBabe@bme.anon When A week ago Artist IAM:Ogre Studio Extreme Graphix Location Geneva, NY Now, despite my inclination to not let someone in my own town pierce my bits... its very small here and I was a little squeamish about running into someone on a casual basis who had reason to know what my bits look like and that I have metal in them. I tend to be quiet about my mods. They are mine, very personal and very private in meaning and I don't share these experiences with everyone. However, I also knew that this piercer/tattoo artist was far better with a needle in his hand than anyone else who had done a piercing for me. If someone was going to make get this piercing right and make it a positive experience, it was going to be IAM:Ogre.
I spent a few weeks mulling over the idea in my head. Did I really want to try the triangle again? What if it went worse this time? Did I really want to have this done locally? Suddenly, I said fuck it and the day was right. I knew that IAM:Ogre would handle this professionally, so I just had to be okay with it all. I headed downtown to get my downtown pierced.
I walked in his shop, Extreme Graphix, which has been under rennovations for past week or so. Now painted and decorated in an almost "tropics" kind of feel. Warm earth tones and natural wood. A big change from the previous look. I told him what I wanted and he said okay. Lets look at some pictures to determine placement. He sensed I was bit nervous and recommended we try a horizontal hood instead. I discussed with him the previous problems with my triangle and vertical hood. That although I was nervous about the triangle, I wasn't sure that the horizontal hood would work any better based on what had happened with the vertical hood. He left the final decision to me. I decided to try the horizontal hood based on his recommendation.
He told me that he would not pierce me in a smaller gauge than 12 for a genital piercing. This made me a bit nervous, but if that is what was required then it had to be. I read some magazines in the waiting area while he sterilized the jewelry and set up the piercing area for me. The nerves definitely were not subsiding even though I was no longer anticipating the placement of a triangle. I even asked him to play some of my music to help me relax (in a style of music he disliked), but he played it for my benefit.
Then I heard the distinctive buzz that sounds when the autoclave has finished its cycle. The sound of ready or not, here you go! My head snapped up from the magazine I was reading. He came out and said, "Ready?" I said, "Of course, not, but...I'm having this done anyway." I got up and went into the piercing room. He had sterilized two rings to make sure he would get exactly the right fit for my bits. He checked for size and decided that the smaller of the two would be the best fit for me. He clamped my clit out of the way...OUCH!! Asked if I was ready and said, "go". Pushed the needle through quickly which definitely got my attention. My head flipped back only an inch from a mirror on the wall behind me. Now, most piercers make you do the whole 1,2,3 thing which quite honestly, I have never really liked. All that counting just makes me nervous. On this piercing by the time I realized it had hurt, the piercing was over. The placement of the jewelry was quick and painless. I got out of the chair easily, thanked him and tipped him generously.
I headed home to relax a bit. I bled off and on that day which made me slightly nervous after my experiences with the triangle piercing I had had several months back. Some of this I can attribute to over-doing it on lifting and house cleaning that day. I most likely should have taken at least that day to relax.
At this point, the healing seems to be going well. It gets a little uncomfortable at the end of the day, but a good sea salt soak seems to fix that quickly. Aesthetically, this piercing suits me more. Its placement was quick and relatively painless as well. Beyond that, I feel complete having a genital piercing again and being back to my 13 piercings.
