Well it started with a query about my nipple piercing, which was playing up and I asked the piercer about genital piercing. She told me that it is a nice piercing and she had nine clit hood piercings the week before, the piercer also showed me the type of jewelery that was gonna be put in the piercing. I fell in love with this little green ring that she had shown me. So I went to the receptionist to book an appointment for the following week.

The day before the 'big' day, I told my mother and all she could say was "Marsha, don't you think you got enough piercings already?" And my little sister butted in and asked my mother if she wanted to see it after the procedure. Mummy cringed (of course) and my sister laughed at me. Only told one person at work about my new piercing and she wished me the best of luck and to tell her how things went on Monday in the studio and how much it costs. Se also said that I was a brave person to go ahead with it.
The big day arrived and I didn't feel nervous at first, but when I went into the studio, that's when the butterflies started fluttering in my tummy. The said I can choose whatever colour ring I wanted in my new piercing. I asked if she had a rainbow colour ring and she had one (wanted a bit of colour down there and I did not want one plain coloured ring down there).
Crunch time and the piercer said to take off my trousers and panties, she gave it a wipe, numbed it and then it was time for the needle... I just mumbled. It really did not hurt. All I saw was the needle being disposed of in some sort of jar and that was it. It was amazing. I didn't feel a thing and as soon as the piercer put the ring in, I asked straight away to have a look at it and in the mirror, I saw a little rainbow coloured ring placed horizontally in my clit hood. She passed me a panty liner and said "You should have worn your Bridget Jones styled knickers for this and a pair of dark trousers or a skirt." I could see why she said that to me, because after an hour of walking around Swansea to buy some CDs, I could see a patch of blood on my trousers (amen for big bulky belts around the jeans).
Met up with my mother the same day and told her that I got it done while she was walking around clearing tables in a cafe in Sainsbury's. She said "What drove you to do that? Did it hurt?" When she left work that afternoon, I told her what it was like and she just cringed. I told my other sister just minutes after I got pierced just laughed at me and said "You're nasty man!" She then told our auntie who cringed down the phone and started holding on to her bits.
Back at work the Monday after, met up with my work mate, who is now one of my closest friends and told her all about my new clit hood piercing, she gasped and gave me a hug. As soon as me and my mate got into work, I told a good friend and just shook my hand and said "You've got some balls to go ahead with it. Got to shake your hand for that."
The next day, everyone at work knew about it and my supervisor said that he knew some people in very low places and asked questions about it for example "Why?", "What's the point of having your clit pierced and you ain't gonna show anyone?" and his question went on. And even wanted a picture of it on his phone (dirty bastard, ain't he). After three months of aftercare, it looks really good and everyone at my workplace knows what I did on 9th December 2005 except for my ex boyfriend and I ain't gonna tell him (didn't have sex for nearly a year and only six people have it).
I would say the reason I got it done was to make myself feel good about myself (I was single at the time) and I just wanted to treat myself like I wasn't seeing anyone at the time. BUT I would love get a vertical clit hood piercing one day when I recover from my Christina piercing. And that should be my last genital piercing and I do mean it this time. (Said that my clit hood piercing would be my first and last genital piercing).
Since my clit hood piercing, my nipple piercing is a ok!
