One day as I was browsing the internet, I read a story on a website about a woman with a vertical hood piercing. The story she described about having an orgasm while running simply mesmerized me because for me, orgasms are hard to come by. When I ran the idea by one of my coworkers, she then told me that she wanted to get her belly-button pierced and that we should go together. So we decided to go by Outer Edge on one Saturday afternoon. We got there and talked to Josh and he was very helpful. He answered all the questions that I had about the piercing from pain meds and healing times to cleaning instructions. He told me that he would do my hood for $50 and my friend's belly-button for $40. I told him that we would be back on the next Saturday to get the piercings, and although skeptical, he said "we'll seeya Saturday"
So Saturday came along and while my friend was relatively calm, I was slowly losing my nerve. So I grabbed a soda, a bottled water, and my credit card and we left our dorm before I had time to change my mind. When we got to the shop, both of our palms were sweaty, but we were determined! We briefly spoke with Josh again while he answered any last minute questions, we paid, and then it was our turn. We argued over who was going first and I let her go because she said she might lose her nerve if she saw me get mine, so it was settled. I'm relatively squeamish but I watched her get hers and boyt did I almost lose my nerve then! She reacted as if the pain was unbearable. My mind was racing and I thought, "maybe its not too late... dammit, i already paid!" I was soooo ready to back out but then the vision of how sexy it would be and how much my partner would love it brought me back to reality. I was still getting it! After that brief moment of doubt, it was finally my turn.

My friend sat by and watched in amazement as I looked down at my newly pierced hood. Josh turned away as I got dressed, gave both of us cleaning instructions and seasalt and we left. He also mentioned using Bactine but being a nursing major, I didn't feel it was appropriate to but antibiotic on anything that's not infected so I don't use it.
Right now, I'm practicing the LITFA method, urinating on it (I know it sounds nasty but your urine is sterile to your body,) and periodically removing the jewelry and soaking it in the seasalt solution to get rid of any funky smelling germs that might accumulate. Although I got the piercing about 2 weeks ago, my partner and I haven't played with it yet (he's a little rough.) I, however have played with it on my own and have found that my orgasms are much more intense and last quite a bit longer than before. I'm sure it will be the source of pleasure for years to come.
