I'd been wanting or thinking of getting a vertical clit hood piercing done for a few months now, on and off, but when I booked my trip to Amsterdam, I thought it'd be a good time to do it seeing as I'd have a very personal souvenir of the trip! My reason for wanting one is mostly just because I thought it's be fun to have a little piercing that is completely private except to people I choose to show it to. Also, since my parents are super conservative, it's the only piercing I could get away with. (Nipple piercings aren't for me.) They made me take out belly button piercings twice in the past, and I also once got my nose pierced but took it out before I returned home for summer (freshman year of college).

After walking around for about half an hour asking everyone if they knew of a piercing/tattoo place, we finally found it.
As it turned out, the only female piercer (who was also a nurse, which was a great selling point!) was only working on Friday so I either had to get it right then and there or go back to a male piercer. I wanted a female piercer because for something in such a private place I wanted someone who knows what goes on down there! Also in my opinion females are just more nurturing in general and I just wanted that for such a private piercing! (My belly button and nose I didn't care whether the piercer was female or male.)
So after much deliberation I decided to just go for it. My friend was with me and it was a little embarrassing taking my jeans off at first, but once I did the piercer was like "You have a beautiful pussy, you shouldn't be embarrassed!" haha that made me kinda embarrassed and it also made me laugh, which was a good thing! My friend asked if she could see so of course I said yes (she's one of my best friends, so I didn't mind, especially since my pants were already off!).
So she cleaned the area and marked it, then tried to fit the receiving tube in (the whole time I was squeezing my friend's hand in apprehension of a needle) but it didn't fit properly so she had to use clamps instead. I couldn't watch, but made my friend talk to me the whole time while I tried to breathe and not think about it. Suddenly she said, "ok breathe in!" and then the needle went through immediately, catching me off guard and I didn't have TIME to breathe in! I think I let out a little scream as well, which is kind of embarrassing cause there were all these big tattooed men downstairs of the parlor, but o well! Anyway after it went through I tried to take deep breaths to calm myself down, cause I was nervous as hell. However, the pain only lasted about a minute, maybe even less, and I stopped even feeling it after that minute (Although I was still nervous about disturbing it when I put my jeans and shoes back on)! It was the easiest piercing ever.
After thanking the woman we left the place, I was still shaky and on an adrenaline rush. (Rolling a joint after was quite difficult, but the weed totally calmed me down after and my friend and I got the giggles. haha) My friend told me that she was starting to feel sick from watching ME get the piercing done! Cause she said I looked like I was in so much pain (it was more terrifying before getting pierced than the actual thing since it was over so quickly) and some antiseptic smell was setting her off. haha Poor girl!!
Now I just rinse it in the shower and it's been completely fine so far. (It's now Tuesday, so it's been 5 days) I'm excited to change the jewelry to something prettier! (I have just a normal titanium bar in at the moment.) The piercer actually asked if I wanted her to change the bar to a shorter one but I was a little wary of touching it again after just getting pierced so I said no.
Anyway, if any of you are thinking about getting it done, definitely do it! It was the simplest thing ever and the aftercare is just being hygenic! haha No sex for 2 weeks, but that's ok for me cause I'm not having sex anyway (also why I figured now was a good time to do it!) And, walking around after is totally fine, even in jeans. I was just careful about bending over and about getting up on to stools after, but it was totally fine. There was a little bleeding later that evening but after that it was ok. (It never bled during the actual piercing which I found strange, but it didn't hurt so whatever.)
