Almost more than a year ago I turned 18 year old. And on my birthday I decided, after years of convincing myself that I wanted my labret done, I instead got my hood pierced. My piercer/tattooist, Phil, who is almost friend of the family, had convinced me that I should have my hood pierced because it would better stimulate my sexual drive and medically help me since I was born with Spina Bifida. Now I know no one out there knows specifically what Spina Bifida is, so I'll try to cliffnotes it as much as possible. Mostly anyone born with it is left paraylized for the rest of their life in either a wheelchair or are able to be mobile with walking devices. I, however, got lucky and was left with being unable to feel little or nothing at all from the waist down, yet I can walk or waddle (as my co-workers call it.)

Now being completely honest to strangers, my sex life sucked. By the time I was getting off, no matter how experienced or the technique a guy used on me, it would literally take a half hour for me to start. Now by this time, my partners would be finish with their business, leaving me to be unsatisfied. It truly sucked so much and there wasn't any type of sexual devices or human devices that really could enhance it. So Phil, the female genitials expert (literally, he has told me more about my specific body than my Gyneo.) showed me every possible spot in my crouch that could and couldn't be pierced. Wait til I get to that fun stuff.

Now on my birthday I pretty much told every one of my classmates in school, I was still in high school at the time, about what I had planned to do come lunch time. I even had my close friends with me when I went to the shop to get the whole thing done. Now when I got there, Phil discussed in lectured detail and diagram of what he was going to and what my body would do with the jewelry in it. I even picked out a captive bead for my captive bead ring: a UV blue beach bead. He said that the whole healing process would take anywhere between a week to ten days. "The genitials on either sex has the most blood flow and the cleaniliest body part." I stripped down to nakedness and Phil showed me where everything was. Surprisingly he pointed out that when I was born the split of where my labias didn't do that when I was growing in the womb. I apparently have both my labias on the left side of my crouch, making it one big, flabby piercing canvas. My friend Rachel who was with me was making the whole thing feel like I was going to freak out over the whole proceedure, but I felt completely fine, more of a giddly feeling to be exact. Phil even explained what exactly he was doing, the forceps being placed, the marking, and finally the needle. Rachel was rubbing softly on my hands, like she was calming me down. Then it was down for the count: 1,2,3 breathe in-needle through the hood-breathe out. I was pissed off, I felt nothing...no surprise. I even laughed and yelled saying I wanted to feel something happen down there.

I now work for Phil as an apprentice in body piercing. This is a great experience in knowing everyone's body. I intern at Gyneo. and go to college for biology. I have big shoes to fill for Phil.

Now a year later I have 2 piercings in my one labia, my nipples and my tongue. All my BTB piercings are in 6 gauge jewelry and sex has never felt better! I always suggest a genitial piercing above any other.

All my friends have taken my advice as to geting a piercing done. Its so much better than so ugly navel that will either grow out over time or get infected, and its not pleasure sensitive! Why don't people learn to better their bodies with pleasure sensitive things than things that would turn out to be nothing but a regret in life. I know that if I have a daughter later in my life and she says "mommy I want a piercing!" I'll just tell her that she can have one if its in 3 different areas: the tongue, nipples or genitials. You know why? Because they are the most idiot proof piercings and don't require as much attention when healing, so I don't have to deal with "my piercing is all gross and growing out!" I'll be the coolest mom out there, leting my kids get pierced and tattooed.
