I'd never really planned on ever getting a genital piercing. I'd look at pictures of them on bmezine.com, but I never wanted one myself... until two days ago.

I mentioned that a hood piercing would be cool, but I wasn't seriously talking about getting one. He seemed to like the subject, so he spent the next 30 minutes or so convincing me to get it done even though my boyfriend would have a fit!! He succeeded.
I went back into my boyfriend's room with a grin. I told him that he could pick between taking me to get my nipples pierced or my hood. He freaked out about the idea of getting pierced in either place, which wasn't a surprise because he won't even kiss me with my tongue ring. After hours of arguing, we finally agreed that I could have it done as long as I never let him see it.
I started looking up piercers in the Dallas area. The first studio I found was Ritual Body in Dallas. I called and asked if they did hood piercings. They lady on the phone told me that Dana did. I was happy that I found a studio with a female piercer on my first try!
I decided that I would go in around 8 o'clock. I was so nervous the rest of the night! I could barely eat and I felt sick. My boyfriend tried SEVERAL times to talk me out of it, but I didn't back down. 8 o'clock came and we were on our way.
I walked into the studio and was greeted by Dana. She was helping a guy in front of me who wanted his tongue pierced. He and his friend were standing at the counter when Dana asked me what I wanted. I shyly said that I was here for a piercing. She took out some papers and then asked what I wanted pierced. I giggled sheepishly and quietly said that I wanted my hood pierced. Of course the two guys next to me heard and they thought it was the coolest thing ever. We ended up talking while Dana prepared the room for his tongue. This was nice because it kept my mind off of what I was really there for.
After they left, I filled out the paperwork and paid and was taught about proper after care. Dana told me about the different functions of vertical and horizontal hood piercings. I told her I wanted a horizontal even though it's less pleasurable, but prettier.
I sat and waited while she set up the room. I was shaking! I tried to look at some magazines, but I couldn't keep my focus on anything except what was about to happen. After a few minutes, Dana came around to get me and we walked to the back of the studio.
She instructed me to take off at least one leg of my pants and to get on the bed. I took my jeans completely off because I didn't want to have to hold one side of them while I was getting pierced. I got on the bed and got into the proper position. It was SO uncomfortable!!! My back started to hurt before she had even cleaned the area for my piercing. I scooted around trying to get comfortable, but no luck.
Dana marked the area and explained how she was going to do everything. She picked up the clamps and told me that they were going to be uncomfortable. They were!! Before I could even get used to the clamps being on, I was told to take some deep breaths. As I exhaled, I felt the needle go through both sides. The pain was REALLY intense. I couldn't help but whimper a little. Dana happily assured me that the worst part was over. The pain subsided after about 30 seconds. Dana put the ring in, which stung a little. Then as she started cleaning up, I got to examine my new piercing in the mirror. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen!!
My boyfriend wasn't very happy the whole way home. He still doesn't like the fact that I'm pierced down there. And he still says he doesn't ever want to see it. So I guess it'll be a few months before I can have sex again. Dana said I could take it out while we did our business then put it back in. I'll have to get different jewelry though, so I can get it in and out easily.
I've been cleaning the piercing twice a day and soaking it in salt water. It took me a while to figure out a technique for soaking, but I've got it down now. I can't wait for it to heal so I can play with it more!
