I had never thought about getting my hood done and I always thought the idea was a bit too full on for me, but recently my views changed, as I was looking for a new piercing and hood popped into mind. I read some experiences on BME, which freaked me out a bit, but I decided that it was the piercing for me.

The next step I took was to ring up a few piercers in my area to ask them a few questions I had about after care and to get pricings and stuff. Each Person I talked to had such a different view to the last but in the end it came down to two places. All the others I had talked to sounded to dodgy. The two that were left were the most expensive but I didn't mind because this was my hood we were talking about so I wasn't gonna risk getting it done crappy to save a few dollars.

I ended up choosing Moniques simply because I was only 17 and you had to be 16 to get it done there and at the other place it was 18. I talked to some of my friends about it and it turned out two of them wanted their eyebrows done so I booked us in and we all went down together for moral support.

I have 5 holes in my ears, with my lobes stretched, my tongue and my nipple pierced. I was a bit scared when I got my tongue and nipple done, but it was nothing on how freaked I was about this one. Like I was totally freaked. I was a mess all the way there and when we stepped in the door it really hit me.

My heart was racing and I was all shaky, Monique gave us the forms to fill in and I could barely sign my name properly. I handed her the money and she showed me to the room. One of my friends came with me while the other one was directed into another room to get her eyebrow done at the same time.

I got in there and gave my friend one last hug before I dropped my pants and got onto the dentist chair with my legs bent out so my feet were together. When I first got into the chair I thought I was going to faint but I breathed through it. Monique checked me out and marked the spots and got me to ok it before she put the clamp on.

My friend was on the other side of me holding my hand and we were having the most random conversation ever to try and keep my mind off what was going on down there. OWWW!!! I shouted it out loud and later on my friend who had gone to the other room told me everyone wondered what was going on in there because I had made such a noise. Monique fiddled around down there for a bit longer, I don't really know what she was doing and then I was done. She said I could get up now but I didn't want to for a few minutes.

I got up and had a peek. * love at first sight * I loved it so much. My friend said the look on my face was priceless. There was a little blood but not much. I put my pants back on and waddled out to the main room. I must have had so much adrenaline pumping though me cos I couldn't actually feel any pain at all for a few hours and after that there was barely any.

We thanked the piercers and were on our way back home. Monique said not to have sex for a couple of weeks but said I would know when I was ready.

That night there was quite a bit of blood dried up on it but I had a shower and washed it with antibacterial soap and there hasn't been any since. I was quite surprised, I thought I would be sitting like a guy for a week but the next day I could already cross my legs.

I only waited four days before I had sex and then I tried it out, it was completely fine, it was I little bit tender afterwards but worth it. I have just been washing it with antibacterial soap every night and I have done the odd salt water soak. It has been surprisingly good and painless and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who was thinking about it.

It has been my most pain and hassle free piercing and I totally love how it looks. My guy wasn't that keen on it but after he saw it he actually likes it more that he thought. It's the best secret you can have ;)
