It never got red or swollen. I NEVER ONCE bled or had any discharge; even when I first got it done. Cleaning was easy. I just used a mild antibacterial soap without perfumes. Noah suggested that I try to pee on it when I used the restroom. Of course, urine is sterile to the body that produced it. I have to say that was fairly impossible. After years of having it, I would never take it out. Oh, wait. There maybe a few reasons to take it out temporarily, and I did come across one last year. Horseback riding! Taking out the piercing did not even cross my mind until about 15 minutes of riding. Honestly, at first, of course it was a little nice, but the 2 hours that followed were shitty. I will never again forget to take it out when doing something like that.
I cannot recommend this piercing enough! Especially to any woman who needs clitoral stimulation to have an orgasm. It makes all the difference. Especially when faced with a partner who has the general idea where the clit is, but doesn't actually know when they've hit it. This ensures that your clit will at least be inadvertently given attention.
There are some partners who get a little overwhelmed. They get excited when they find out it's there, but then don't know the limits and are afraid of hurting you , I guess.

The only negative feedback that I have received from a partner is that he said he got a metallic taste from the jewelry sometimes. He suggested to get an all acrylic piece, but I have been unable to find one that would suit this piercing. To anyone who is nervous, but considering; Don't hesitate! It's one of the best a girl could get in my opinion. It is so helpful and nice to look at. I have a barbell with 2 light blue gems. It looks so awesome with all the pink around it!
Just like any other piercing, I think one of the most important parts is that you completely trust your piercer. If they don't go out of their way to make you 100% comfortable, find someone else. If they are a professional, they will act like it. If you feel even slightly doubtful, walk away. You can always get pierced later, but you can't erase a bad experience.
