Well, for my 18th birthday (06/23/00), I got my tongue pierced, which was an awesome experience, no pain, fast healing. On July 17th (of the same year)I got my belly button pierced, which gave me a bit more pain and a longer healing time. In December, I got a tattoo of a fairy, on the side of my right ass cheek, little less pain than the navel piercing, and medium healing time. I needed something more.

I came on BME and researched the female genital piercings, and after looking at pictures and pictures and reading experiences and experiences, I decided on a horizontal hood piercing. It looked the prettiest and still had that certain flair to it, ;-).
I decided that night that I was most defiently gonna get it done, I was so excited and I called the parlor I always go to (Lady Luck, JR is the absolute best!!!) just to confirm that he did those piercings, he said yes and I was in heaven! I had to wait until Tuesday b/c they would be closed on Sunday and Monday, and let me tell you, I couldn't sleep at all! I was so excited!
Tuesday rolled around and I went to pick up my friend Jessica, she was just bursting w/ laughter, she couldn't believe I was gonna do it. We got there, and I went up to the counter and told the guy (who just happened to be Jess' cousin, how crazy is that?) what I wanted done. He asked JR what gauge I would need, and he advised him a 12, so he asked me to look for a hoop I wanted, but I told him I wanted a barbell instead, and JR found one for me. I paid, I think it $60, and that was it.
JR began to prep for the piercing and me & Jess sat down and looked through tattoo books, actually, Jess looked through tattoo books, I paced around the room like a maniac. Finally, JR called me back, he had set up a little curtain around the chair (considering his chairs are very out in the open.) He explained to me what was gonna happen, and I took off my pants and panties, and sat down in the chair. (I let Jess stand outside of the curtains, I didn't want to scar her from sex for the rest of her life!) I thought that being nude in front of him would faze me, but it didn't, he is totally cool and I trust him, so it was ok.
First, he cleaned the area, and then he marked it (it must have been difficult b/c I found marker on the inside of my legs :-P.) Then he clamped my clit (I know it sounds crazy and believe me, it is!) It took him a little while to do this, but then he told me he was about to put the needle through. I was so scared, I just kept saying "oh my god, oh my god..." He told me to take a deep breath, which I did, and then to let it out, and then bham! He put the needle through, it hurt so bad! I screamed "oh shit!" He asked if I was ok, as did Jessica, and I said yeah. Then he went to thread the barbell through, and I screamed "oh shit" again, that hurt too.
Then JR told me he'd give me a mirror, so that I can look @ it, I said, no thanks, I'd probably pass out. So then, I put my clothes on, as he was telling me how to care for it. I tipped him, and then started walking out. I was so surprised that I could walk normally, I just kept chanting "I can walk!" It was too funny.
Well, I got it done a few days ago, and the healing process is pretty much done (JR told me some heal in a few days, and others, a few weeks...) It was very easy to care for and no pain at all during the process. All in all, it was a great experience and let me tell you... The sexual benefits from this thing are amazing! If you sit the wrong way or anything, things start going crazy! But enough about that, find out for yourself!
