I was just so tired of the same old navel, nipples, lobe and other ear piercings. I already have several lobes, tragus, anti-tragus, transverse lobe, rook and daith. I want an industrial as well, but my piercers have suggested that I don't go for that since my ear is not built for that, i.e., it won't look good. So what next? Genital! Eventually I want ladders. Both inner and outer labia. So, I called and made an appointment with one of the owners of Infinite, in downtown Philadelphia, PA. I live about 2 hours away from Philly, but I'd rather have a professional check me out and let me know if I'm anatomically fit for any of these piercings. I don't trust any of the other piercers in my area. The shops are just a little too seedy. This time, however, I only wanted one. Possibly a hood piercing or a clit piercing.
So, I went on my merry way to philly. Pleasant car ride, hoping for a quick ride home afterwards... Got there and was greeted by the friendly staff. I love it there. After talking to Jim again about the procedure which I wanted done and filling out the forms, Jim took me to one of the back rooms where I disrobed.
He looked carefully. QUITE carefully, to my surprise. He was there for quite a while, and showed me in a hand mirror what type of piercings would suit my anatomy. Good thing is that everything that I'd like to get done down there is possible! How exciting! So, since I only wanted one piercing I chose to go for the rarer one. The clit. Somehow, by reading all the experiences on BME I figured that this was not such a rare piercing, but he assured me that it was. I'll take his word for it since he's the professional!
He went out front to pick out my jewelry, and came back with a couple of options. He would decide which one in the end. (all were captive bead rings, just slightly different sizes). He pulled out the sterile needles, clamps, cleaning solution, etc. He cleaned the area, marked it up with the Sharpies that I love so much. Then he pulled out the clamps. To say when he tried to place it was uncomfortable is to put it mildly. But, I figure it's the only time I'm going to get a piercing like this. May as well suck it up and deal with the discomfort for a bit. Besides, do I really think that this is going to compare with what happens when he's going to use the needle on me?
While this is going through my head then he pulls out the needle. Now, I would generally watch this in a mirror, but I thought this would be a bad idea. "Start breathing deeply. In and out, in and out, in and..." OUCH! This is too funny in hindsight, but I just about knocked him unconscious when my legs clamped shut. I apologized profusely. He just laughed it off. Quite the professional. Of course, I'm sure he's gone through many experiences like that in the past. We had a good laugh. So good that I forgot that there was still the jewelry! He inserted the CBR and there was another wave of pain. Somewhat exhilarating, mind you. And then inserting the ball of the CBR... At this point I had gotten quite swollen with all the time that had elapsed since the piercing. But, I was glad when it was done and over. He showed me with the hand mirror and stood out of the way so that I could also see it in the mirror hanging off the wall. It was so beautiful! A single tiny C BR. A nice new toy.
What I really like about Infinite, what will keep on bringing me back, is the quality personal service that I receive every time I go there. Jim made me stay in the back room for a while longer. He wanted to make sure I was not unsteady on my feet. We waited and talked another 5 minutes before he let me get up and get dressed – of course, the gentleman that he is, had me cover up so that I didn't feel uncomfortable or exposed. He even brought me orange juice, which he hadn't done for any of my other piercings! All in all, a great experience.
And can I tell you how much I love my new piercing?! A week after getting pierced I was out clubbing and passed by a large speaker when a song was playing with a large amount of bass. I had to stop to enjoy the vibrations J Then I realized that I should move before having a little too much fun on my own, in the middle of a club.
