Well it all started about 2 years ago when my then husband jokingly said I should get my clit pierced. I had already got my tongue pierced for him. At the time I said "NO WAY" but the more I thought about it the more interested I became. First of all I did some research here at BME and found out I liked the way a horizontal hood piercing looked so that's what I decided I wanted.

So I made my merry way to the studio which is 29 minutes away but by the time I got there they were closed, talk about relief, I was so nervous on the way I was really hoping they would be closed!!
In the meantime I had a baby, so it was a good thing I didn't get it done or I would have lost it anyway. But I still continued my research and called around to get prices and such. It is amazing how much the price can vary. Around my area it's anywhere from $30 to $145. I asked all kinds of questions like "what exactly do you do?" and "does it hurt alot?" I'm a huge wimp when it comes to needles.
But about March I seriously started considering it again, my husband had left in February and I needed to do something for myself! So on May 3rd I happened to be in the same town and decided to go get it done!
I told my mom and sister what I was going to do and they both thought I was crazy!!! My mom's really cool though so I could tell her and not feel really wierd about it.
I didn't even get nervous untill the shop was in sight. I walked in and the guy asked me what I wanted and I told him "a hood piercing" and he said "you mean a clit piercing" and being nervous I just replied "yeah" MY MISTAKE!!
So another guy comes in and helps me fill out the paperwork while the first guy (Preston) helped me pick out my jewelery. by now 4 different guys know why I'm there!! All in all they made me feel pretty comfortable though. We all talked for a few minutes while the jewelery was being sterilized.
Then I go into a little kinda cubbyhole with just blinds seperating me from the whole place and he tells me "take off your pants and get on the table" Let me tell you I find it pretty awkward to just drop my pants for a total stranger and I told him so. He said "it's okay it'll only take a minute". So I hop up on the table and spread my legs. Now remember I am expecting a "HOOD" piercing. He started putting the clamp on and I asked which way he was doing it because he was putting the clamp on vertical, he said he had never seen it done horizontal before and I just thought "okay, wierd".
Well, the clamp hurt, then he told me to relax and take deep breathes but since I knew the needle was coming I took a deep breathe in and couldn't let it out and then came the needle.OWWWWWWWW!! But only for a sec, as soon as the needle quit moving the pain was tolerable then the jewelery hurt then it was over. I didn't even walk funny. I was expecting a little discomfort but the only thing that hurt was when the seam of my jeans rubbed alittle too hard.
He explained the aftercare and I paid and left without taking a look myself. When I got home about 45 minutes later I finally looked and to my surprise it wasn't a hood piercing at all but RIGHT THROUGH MY CLIT!!! I was pretty upset at first(I almost cried!) but then I got right on Good Ol' BME here and researched it a little then I thought it was pretty cool except from the experiences I read I was expecting some real discomfort the next few days but I haven't had any and healing has been amazing. I haven't hurt since the first day.The only thing that is making me crazy is no one wants to see it. and I really want to show it off!! I just can't wait to find someone to try it out with!!!
I just want to add that it has been a major self-esteem booster just knowing I have a little secret in my pants!! And if your thinking about it and your built for it DO IT!! I still would have opted for a hood piercing if I had known what he was doing but I'm kinda glad I didn't know and got surprised because the only reason I didn't even consider a clit piercing is because I was afraid of the pain but it wasn't as bad as I would have expected a clit piercing to be So I'm really pretty happy with it!!!
