I wanted to share with your readers my experiences in finding a Prince's Wand.

I have had a Prince Albert piercing for over 3 years now. I also have a set of Hegar sounds (metal probes used by urologists) and I like urethral play. Although I enjoy the sensation of deep urethral play, the sounds presented some limitations. First, they are temporary; you can't really wear them. Although they feel great, when "Mother Nature" calls, the sound has to come out, before the urine can. I really wanted something that could be worn 24/7, and that would allow me to urinate from a standing position without spraying urine all over the place and on my pants.

A friend of mine suggested that I check out the BME site for some possible resources. I surfed the BME site, and went to the male genital piercings page. I already knew what a Prince Albert piercing was, but many of the other topics in the male genital piercings section were unfamiliar to me. Out of curiosity, I clicked on each topic, one by one, reverse P/A, apadrayva, etc. Man, what an education!! When I clicked on "Prince's Wand" I felt my heart race! FINALLY, I had found something that could actually be worn for urethral stimulation!!

My excitement was short-lived however, at least temporarily. I started reading the letters from other readers about Prince's Wands. Several letters focused on homemade wands made of materials procured at local home centers. Well, I don't really have a lot tools, and am definitely not skilled at metalworking. But, I desperately wanted a Prince's Wand, so I went to my local hardware store and perused potential materials. I was disheartened. I saw bolts, rods, pipes, and tubes, all with sharp edges, or threads, or textures that didn't look at all comfortable. Some of those materials aren't hypoallergenic either, and I didn't want the potential for painful sores in my dick. Call me a wimp if you want, but I just couldn't imagine sticking a bolt that was intended to hold a rototiller together, into my dick.

Back home I went, and started surfing the Internet . Keyword searches for a Prince's Wand yielded very few sites. Of the sites I found, most of them were out business, or I got an error message stating the site was no longer available. I did find one site that had Prince's Wands, but only one model/one size available. I read the specs, looked at the price. I nearly passed out!! I don't mind paying for quality merchandise that I really want, but I was not about to pay the quoted price for an "off the rack, one-size-fits-all wand". I wanted something that was professionally designed to fit MY dick, and had features that I wanted.

Finally I found a website of a manufacturer of customer body jewelry including Princes' Wands, placed my order via e-mail, got the price quote (about $160.00) and sent my money. I was on my way to getting my first wand!!! Well, I waited, and I waited, and I waited. After a couple of months, several e-mails to the manufacturer, a lot of contact with postal authorities, I finally received an e-mail from the manufacturer that my money order had been "misfiled", but my wand was being shipped that day.

The wand arrived as promised, and man, it was a beauty!! 6" of hollow glistening stainless steel with a bondage bead and ring designed to fit my dick. I immediately washed it with antibacterial soap, soaked it in bleach water, then alcohol. I used triple antibiotic ointment as lube, and did a slow insertion. It felt absolutely fantastic, and looked great too. I had a little difficulty at first getting the crosspiece threaded into the wand's shaft. After a few trys, it worked perfectly. Now I had something thing that could be worn, and because it was hollow, I could urinate without having sit down on the toilet.

A year later, I wanted to get a larger wand. My first wand was what I would call a starter wand, only 1/4" diameter. It was great for a while, but I soon realized that although the 6" shaft was great for play, it was just a bit too long and uncomfortable for everyday wear. So, I attempted to contact the manufacturer of my first wand. Even though I had a lot of difficulty getting my first wand from him, I didn't know anyone else to contact. And besides, he did eventually make the situation right and send my wand.

When I attempted to logon to his website, I discover he was no longer in business. Thankfully, he recommended "www.steelwerks.com" (No that isn't a typo folks, there is no "o" in "steelwerks") I logged onto the www.steelwerks.com website and was really impressed. They carry all kinds of body jewelry, toys, etc. There is a section of the site called "Steelwerks Extreme" and that's where I found the Prince's Wands. There is a really cool measuring guide (the measuring is REAL important!), pricing information, and some really neat options you can get for your wand. After reviewing the options, I decided to inquire about getting a hollow 7/16" wand that was only 4" long, with a 1 ¾" extension that could be used for deeper play.

I received a prompt response from "Chris" at Steelwerks. Chris gave me some suggestions on a design that would make the wand more comfortable, answered all of my questions, and sent me a price quote that I felt was very reasonable. Throughout the entire purchasing/manufacturing process, Chris kept me updated via e-mail when he received my money order, and how soon he would be shipping my wand. He also sent me UPS tracking number when he shipped my wand. I can't say enough good things about the customer service I received from Chris at www.steelwerks.com The service he provided really helped made me feel like he knew his business, and cared about his customers. If you are like me, you might be a bit hesitant about making a large purchase with an unknown company. All I can say is I will definitely be a repeat customer of Steelwerks.!! Within a very short time, I received my Prince's Wand from Steelwerks. I opened the box, and was even more impressed. Inside a ve lveteen jewelry case, were three sealed "steri-seal" type pouches; one contained the shaft and extension, the second contained the crosspiece, and the third contained the front bead. It appeared that my merchandise had been autoclaved and sealed prior to shipping. Anxiously and carefully I opened each packet. I was truly impressed. There lay my new wand, every measurement precise, every option I wanted, in shining high quality stainless steel. Appearances were NOT deceiving either. The wand fit like a charm!! The shorter shaft is quite comfortable for me. I have been wearing it 24/7, removing it only for periodic cleaning. It fits easily under standard clothing and is not at all noticeable. Its great to be able to stand up at the urinal and not dribble all over my pant legs and the floor. Also, the captive bead bondage ring adds weight, and my wand produces mildly erotic sensation in my dick when I walk.

I would like to make a few suggestions based on my experience to anyone who is interested in buying a Princes Wand.

1. Check out www.steelwerks.com

2. Be sure you are comfortable with something inside your dick. Try sounding first. Urological sounds are fairly cheap, (a full set Hegar urological sounds of varying sizes is usually less than $100, depending on what get) You can find them on the internet

3. If you want to wear your wand 24/7, measure your dick in a flaccid state (soft). I used a sound to measure how deep I wanted the wand shaft to go. This measurement was about ¼" LESS than the length of my soft dick

4. Measure everything EXACTLY. Make sure you don't order something way too big. One half-inch diameter wand shaft doesn't seem like a big measurment to many people, but remember, we are talking about a half inch thick peice of stainless steel going deep into your dick. Check the diameter of your urethra with a sound, and determine a COMFORTABLE diameter for your wand

5. The little cross bar which is inserted through the piercing opening and threaded into the shaft is kinda difficult to insert at first. I found that having a bondage bead with a ring on the end of the shaft provided me with an easy grip to hold the wand in place with one hand, while threading in the cross bar with the other hand.

These are the main things that I found helpful. I hope this letter helps other guys who are interested in getting a Princes' Wand however if anyone has any questions, I would do my best to answer them.
